There was a big purge in 1967/68 when major labels (including Liberty) stopped the dual inventories of stereo and mono. Lots of mono only releases went straight to the cutout bins.

So, we are still talkin' 'bout that old English group? Still have a bunch of Capitol/Parlophone/Apple lps from "back in the day". Have not played them in 20 years.

Shearing was the first "national" jazz group I saw. Never entertained buying the box but did purchase a few lps back in the day. YMMV.
