  1. Nuther turd in the punchbowl here. You might be opening yo' self to legal problems beyond yo' dreams. You should talk to Lazaro Vega about this. He's on this board.
  2. Connie500 can get the money for you with a couple of keystrokes. We just have to pressure him. B-)
  3. Since Mr Clark does not play on Remembering, it is not in the quartet set. It was released as Standards. The other (first on) King releases with Clark were Gooden's Corner and Oleo. I also want to point out Alfred Lion did not produce Night of the Cookers, though he did release the material.
  4. Sorry I missed it. Thanks for the heads up.
  5. I got it in my cart. Went back a couple days later to place the order and it was gone. My order wound up being just the Granz set, Ellington Centennial, Basie Story and a Norah for the wife - just under $50 for the lot, but NO PARKER. BTW, I think those lucky enough to get the $4.99 price should stop rubbing it in - $5.99 and no shipping is an amazing price.
  6. "Just like an Organissimo poster". B-)
  7. So, is that where the best music is or the most bucks?
  8. All need to remember the first post mentioned the number on the "boc". Anyone else get a boc? If not, I don't think anyone needs to worry about this.
  9. I had the same experience when I worked there.
  10. AND Paul has been a worthy member. If he disappears, I'll miss him.
  11. Sorry to say almost every post in this thread has errors or misconceptions. I don't have time or energy to explain them now but if I don't come back to this thread tomorrow (and you care) send me a PM.
  12. Well, since you started there you might want to work backwards. Try Nice Guys next.
  13. This was a well know screw up at the time. You have Don Cherry's Mu.
  14. about 25 years gone. He's still lurking about town though. He worked at Tower for some years but I don't know about now.
  15. B-) The northside store has been gone a long time. I dropped in one day to find Doc Pomus on site.
  16. I haven't seen anything worthy of response.
  17. I can think of a few musician bios that qualify. B-)
  18. They will not be moving back upstairs, though they may eventually move to a new location. They were hit with a massive rent increase.
  19. What's the big deal? Isn't he a drummer? Happy birthday.
  20. Next time you see Bud, say "Hey" from me. On his way out of Chicago he stopped by my place to load up on records. Great guy!
  21. If you are a dealer or manufacturer, my experience may be of use. I have a few hundred lps in shrinkwrap (over 20 years old) without any warping.
  22. I thought these things were made to be played. WTF!
  23. Chained was the last Lion session. The rest were by Frank living up to Alfred's expectations. Things did get messy.
