  1. Don't think they (or BMG) ever listed The Flip. What you smokin' boy?
  2. I guess I was fooled by the message I received mentioning the make and model of the printer added.
  3. Yes but, every time I try to print something I get a "send a fax" message.
  4. After TurboTax wouldn't load, I decided to move beyond Windows95. So, I might seem distracted for a day or two while setting it up. Please bear with me and (if the need arises) answer any questions I might have along the way. To stop the first inquiry, I got another Gates system 'cause I can't afford a Mac. I know it's like shopping at Wal-Mart.
  5. I love this set. In addition if you buy the CD/DVD set called Duke Ellington The Centennial Collection you will get a "cleaned up" version of Jack The Bear.
  6. Nah, it's just another ankle biter like my mother-in-law's dog.
  7. Lots of light fluffy stuff coming down all morning but the sun is starting to break through as I type.
  8. Doesn't anyone remember my mention of another 6 minutes from a different gig? I suspect that's what this is. The timings don't match the Town Hall acetate side breaks and Sid Catlett is the drummer on Hot House, in fact it is a "showcase" for him.
  9. You seem to know the best "commercial" stuff but seek out the Basie airchecks like "At the Chatterbox", stuff from the Famous Door, Meadowbrook Ballroom, etc.
  10. Thanks for bringing this up. I'm sure all us old farts relearned a few lessons from Von's demonstrations.
  11. Garth? Is that the reading/writing/critic guy with the Defranco fixation? If so, Happy Birthday. B-)
  12. Sorry to be so late. Happy, Happy! Gloves are off in the morning. B-)
  13. I have bought new editions in at least 5 decades. HELLO!
  14. SORRY! For me, pre-war Lester was from a different planet and post-war he joined the rest of us. The post-war stuff is first rate, but (pre-war) DAMN!
  15. Sorry I didn't have time to get that David Gates cd for your birthday.
  16. I think his first priority should be listening to Worktime. This might be my favorite Sonny session. If you don't want to open your precious vinyl, spend 10 friggin' dollars and LISTEN! Sometimes I wonder why I bother with this stuff.
  17. Thanks for posting the photos. I and really enjoyed the updates and downdates.
  18. His first name is Mark. B-) And you thought you were so funny.
  19. Let's all chip in and send "che" to Finland. Fins can send money to me to stop this movement.
  20. All these years I've thought of Von being physically larger than me.
  21. I hear ya. I stopped trying to figure it out a long time ago.
  22. Unless you have an huge music collection, I'd say you are missing a bunch. I have 5000+ discs and only have 7 with Wes. Now you can attack.
  23. Jack, I think the mic in the room is better than most radio tapes issued under Boris's various operations. I was not talking music - I have a cdr of the Gerry/Bob/Zoot/Warne set and THIS is wonderful and for me more interesting than most of the issued material.
  24. Speaking of Jazz Magnet, all interested parties should grab the 2 disc solo set by Steve Lacv called Sniips. Great stuff.
