  1. Nobody ever talks about SilverTone stuff anymore.
  2. I've been hoping for an MPS reissue of ZO-KO-MA.
  3. Live at the Lighthouse (1962) Live at the Lighthouse '66 Lighthouse '68 Lighthouse 1969 Live Sides (Blue Note) more tracks from 1968 sessions To my knowledge, only the '66 album has been on CD. ← Lighthouse '68 was issued last year. It includes 4 bonus tracks.
  4. I take it you do not have the set in question. If you did, you'd know the answer.
  5. Stupid, friggin' me. I just realized I forgot the two pics I meant to open with. Arno diggin' in.
  6. I'll have to keep an eye out for those. ← The Candid is a reissue of an lp I've liked for a long time - the original was on GFM records from Scotland. Has anyone mentioned (too lazy to backtrack) the recordings under the original discussion include Henry Textier and Daniel Humair? I have loved these recordings since they were originally issued and still like 'em.
  7. I went out next, followed by Mark and then you. I'm really sick of you "self deprecating" guys - and I really liked your shirt.
  8. For my last posting of pics from the session (I want to extend a ton of thanks to Ann for the shots) I now show the downfall of Lazaro Vega. He was eliminated in the first round of the shirt contest.
  9. Here's a pic of the friggin' drummer and his daddy.
  10. And here is special guest Dan Jacobs. None of you guys had to listen to him giving Lazaro lessons. -_-
  11. A reflective, thoughtful drummer.
  12. Just another guitar player.
  13. Another keyboard player.
  14. The keyboard guy at work.
  15. Here's an after the gig shot of Randy, Arno, Jim, Joe and Dan.
  16. Just back from the studio. Ann, Uncle Skid and I attended. Some of Ann's pics in the morning if I have time.
  17. It does not happen until 2 and a half hours from now!
  18. Boy are you picky.
  19. That happens. Look forward to more of that shit.
  20. Is this the point where we all break out into a chorus of "Both Sides Now"?
  21. I'm really tired of "industry insiders" reading and posting under "screen names" here and on other boards. Just shows the insecurities involved.
  22. AND some of us who bought the damn thing 40 years ago. Better they reissue Red Allen.
  23. Time for an update. Where are you?
  24. FWIW. while working on the cd reissue of Young at Heart I played a 30 minute first take of the solo piece. Many more references to earlier styles - boogie, stride, etc. Sadly, no room on the cd for it. Maybe in the next format.
