  1. This is one of my favorite Grant Green recordings as well. Its a very soothing session that swings lightly. I also like the vibes and after reading this thread , played the disc again last night and enjoyed the experience.

  3. Read the ad for this concert in the Sunday NY Times with much interest but health matters prevent me from even thinking about it. How about a full report following this event, I too am a big Toshiko fan!
  4. I've had a chance to listen to it twice and agree that it is one of the finest Mosaics yet. I also agree with your statement about the latest Mosaics showing up on the porch!!
  5. I have listened to most of the Mulligan set and I Love It!!!! I am familiar with a lot of this great music, but its wonderful to have it all collected together and I think that the sound is fabulous. The booklet is interesting and informative and well written. You guys can take that one star and save it for the top of your Christmas tree, this is a FIVE STAR efforts as far as I am concerned! As my health improves, I will try to check in here more often, thank you. This current batch of Mosaic releases is good medicine. Better start cashing in those old pop bottles for that Eldridge set that sounds tasty as well!!
  6. Recieved my order this evening from Mosaic which includes the Mulligan CJB as well as the two new Selects. Think its going to be a very jazzy weekend at my house!
  7. Hey Berigan! I hope you got the PM that I sent you a couple days ago and that things are going well with your mom.. Best Wishes, TOD
  8. At least 300.00 and I have seen it go for as much as 500.00. This is one that you don't see come up that often.
  9. This evening: Don Friedman Trio-"A Day In The City" Don Friedman Trio-"Waltz For Debby" Stan Getz-"Bossas & Ballads:The Lost Sessions" Earl Hines-"Plays Duke Ellington"
  10. I count the Mosaic set as one of the best. I love this music and over the years have bought many of his recordings that I have duplicated much of the material. Nevertheless, its all wonderful music that I find myself returning to often.

  21. It's nice to see Weizen back in action. The last note I got from him washed up on shore in an old Ripple bottle. I hope he's well refreshed after some serious R & R, which in his case means Ripple and Ravi Shankar!
  22. He must have been out of the country, Ripple sales have been down for the past couple of weeks!
  23. They have changed the release date on the webpage. It is now scheduled for the end of August.
  24. Your enthusiasm about this set prompted me to revisit it again and like an old friend, it never lets you down. A great listen everytime!!
