  1. No, just a bit fowl
  2. Did you know that Colonel Saunders and Norah Jones are related?
  3. Don't get nervous, but I think that David Letterman is knocking on your back door
  4. Its a positive high, Jack! I think that is a great suggestion!! I've been a fan of "One Foot In the Gutter" and recently a good friend turned me on to "Into Something" which I really dig. These two compiled with other material would make a great Select.
  5. Nola Jordan? Wasn't she with the Tympany 5?
  6. I'm up for asking if Ravi Shankar has a favorite color. Does he have his own board or is he riding on the skirt-tails of his famous off-spring, I can't remember her name at the moment, Nola Something..............................................
  7. AMG doesn't think its so great either. They give it two stars and a lousy review. Signed The Original Out2Lunch
  8. I think I'll wait until all the material comes out on one Mosaic set.
  9. They do have the notes from the original Blue Notes and are licenced to Time-Life Records, Barcelona from Blue Note which is clearly documented on the disc and several times on the back inlay and booklet insert. They are legit.
  10. Great news! You know that hardly anyone goes over to the Blue Note Board anymore.
  11. OUT2LUNCH Catesta is it true that you are related to "Sitar Great", Ravi Shankar?
  12. For variety sake, the Turrentine is my pick. The Stitt is good in small doses and the Jones is dead last in my personal preference.
  13. Yeah and you still never found out what her favorite color was-anyway!
  14. Blurb on the Mosaic website announces that the Bennie Green and Randy Weston Mosaics are in house and will begin shipping today,May 19th.
  15. Ahwww, see Now, you've taken all the Fun out of it!
  16. If this attitude will be the driving force behind the new and improved ("re-opening soon") Blue Note Board, I don't see many of the old regime getting beyond the first post there either.
  17. Chaney, thanks for setting me straight. You've just proved why this is the Best of All Possible BB's!!
  18. Thanks for confirming this!
  19. I understand that she is Ravi Shankar's daughter.
  20. I just got a reply to my query regarding the Mosaic vinyl version of this set. It will be available late June/early July and will consist of 6 LPs.
  21. I have to agree with Mr Sangry here. As a result of positive comments on this board, I have sought out and listening to a lot of both Teddy Edwards and Von Freeman lately and loving every minute of it. Its great to sample different artists even if they don't appear on Blue Note connected labels!
  22. Glad to oblige. My Dutch Uncles thank you!!!
  23. The Dutch Jazz Orchestra Plays Music Of Billy Stayhorn-4 CD set-(Glorious Music!) Jimmy Forrest-"Black Forrest" Eric Dolphy-"Here And There" Grant Green-"Green Street" Grant Green-"Solid" Karin Krog-"Gershwin With Karin Krog" Don Friedman-"My Foolish Heart"
  24. Hey Lon, that's not cough syrup is it?
  25. No complaints here! This is the place to be.
