  1. ...Packaged in a mini-LP sleeve
  2. According to DMG's site it's in stock, but it might not be up to date. To repeat Amir's question: anyone heard it yet? Opinions?
  3. I'd recommend these Ellery Eskelin's hatOLOGY disks (unfortunately, some of them are out of print): One Great Day - hatOLOGY 502 Kulak 29&30 - hatOLOGY 521 Five Other Pieces (+2) - hatOLOGY 533 Dissonant Characters - hatOLOGY 534 Ramifications - hatOLOGY 551 The Secret Museum - hatOLOGY 552 Vanishing Point - hatOLOGY 577 I don't know yet what to think of Arcanum Moderne - hatOLOGY 588; played it only once.
  4. I second Tony's recommendations of No Try No Fail (with the exception of Joëlle Léandre's thankfully very short vocalizing), Kulak 29&30, and Strata. I'm not a fan of "improv vocals", so I can't comment on the Lauren Newton disk.
  5. I'd put it even more strongly: a totally uninteresting effort, with lots of "noodling" and boring guitar playing
  6. How kind of you
  7. Up.
  8. Check out this thread, you may find some useful info there.
  9. Keller String Quartet set, Takács String Quartet set.
  10. These 2CD-sets are my favorites: Keller Quartet - Erato 98538 Takács Quartet - Decca 455297 They both have a kind of "earthy" feeling that these great works need in my opinion.
  11. Dance with Death on eBay. I'm not the seller.
  12. If only I could find a copy...
  13. Paul Bley - Open, to Love - ECM Jimmy Lyons on WKCR, New York. Absolutely wonderful!
  14. Saturday, November 29, 2003: Anthony Braxton - 3 Compositions of New Jazz - Delmark (hated the first track, loved the other two) Cannonball Adderley with Bill Evans - Know What I Mean - Analogue Productions / Riverside (hybrid SACD) Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else - Toshiba Japan, TOCJ Miles Davis with John Coltrane, box set, discs 1 and 2 - Columbia Art Pepper - Complete Village Vanguard Sessions, box set, disc 5 - Victor Japan (20-bit K2 remastered) Bill Evans - Consecration, box set, disc 3 - Victor Japan (20-bit K2 remastered)
  15. Friday, November 28, 2003: Tim Berne - The Sublime and. Sciencefrictionlive - Thirsty Ear Blue Series William Parker Violin Trio - Scrapbook - Thirsty Ear Blue Series Art Pepper - Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section - Victor Japan (XRCD24, 24-bit K2 remastered XRCD) Gil Evans - Gil Evans & Ten - Prestige (hybrid SACD) Duke Pearson - The Right Touch - Toshiba Japan, TOCJ
  16. Thanks Jim.
  17. I also noticed this, and it's a major inconvenience in the "Offering & Looking for..." Forum. I hope it can be reinstalled.
  18. Sounds like you've got a bit of work ahead of you

Welcome Д.Д., good to see you here!
  21. Are you sure you want to give up the political forum?
  22. Excellent post Bev, you said it all.
  23. That looks like a political statement to me. I don't think this is the place for something like that.
  24. Bev, I couldn't agree more!
  25. I was thinking about importing the Japanese version until I found out that it's copy-controlled.
