Well, speaking as a Rangers fan, WE sure like the deal! Seriously, I had my doubts about Wilkerson at the start--I mean, he's got a real problem with strikeouts right now--but he's a solid defenseman, and I think that, over time, he'll develop into a real solid all-around player. Of course, we're talking about a team that is two games above .500 and in first place. Bleahh..... On a different note, I couldn't help but marvel that the Royals ended their 13-game skid against the Yankees, of all teams. Steinbrenner's gotta be shittin' bricks right now!

Now THAT was funny!!!!

Sure, Al. I thought you might be getting one from a US participant but then when no comment from you materialised.... Send me a PM as to where to send it. Pity, though, could have done with your input Will be in the mail tomorrow, Al. How's that for service? Lucky I haven't yet deleted from hard drive. Lookin' forward to it! Will probably still post guesses, just for the heck of it. I don't remember any of these answers anyway!

Wow! After looking over that track list, I'm sorry I didn't participate! Tooter, can I still get a copy?

For the life of me, I'll never understand why Blue Note feels they have to issue McLean CDs as limited edition Conns.

Well, I guess trying to narrow down the worst moments in Ranger history would be a daunting task, but how can the following be left off: 1. Signing Chan Ho Park to a woolly mammoth of a guaranteed contract 2. Signing A-Fraud Rodriguez to the same kind of deal

Alright, as long as we're on that subject, something I've always wondered: is this Benny Green who wrote those liners the same Benny Green the piano player who put out an album called "These Are Soulful Days?" Or are there three different Benny Greens: one the trombone player, one the liner note writer, and one the piano player?

Wasn't he the one who fouled Dirk with 11 seconds left in regulation that allowed Dirk the three points to tie the game? I bet he's on a lot of Spurs fans shitlist right now. -_- -

Cuban's biggest problem is that hole right under his nose. Just when you think you can start taking him seriously again, he goes and shoots it off again. Has he not seen the wasteland where HIS team plays???? -

All I can say is, TAKE THAT, CHARLES MF BARKLEY!!!! Now shut your ass up! That was a helluva game last night, and I really thought the Spurs were gonna provide the Mavs with the biggest upset in Mavs history. It was a nailbiter all the way. Best playoff series EVER, and I would've said that had the Mavs lost (although losing after a 20-point lead would have REALLY bit the big one). Oh yeah, and Fuck YOU, Skip Bayless!!!! -

The ol' reverse jinx, Al? I thought about that, but no: I've said all along, if this goes to seven games, SA wins. I gotta find me a bookie.... -

Oh yeah, and I can just see David Stern up in his booth like Mr. Burns going "Ehhxcellent. Skippers, go write another article for me." "Yes, Mr. Stern; just as soon as I get done kissing your ass." Asshole must've wet himself something fierce when the clock reached zero. -

Tonight's game showed just how clueless Ball-less's column was. But hell, Spurs played hard tonight and deserved that win. I think the Mavs are starting to run out of gas. Game seven oughta be good, but no way does Dallas win this one. Sorry. Ain't happenin'. -

Granted, I'm a Mavs fan, so you can take the following with however much salt you wish; but..... Yes, Terry had his hand balled in a fist. Yes, Finley's crotch was right in the path of the fist. And yes, Terry's fist was headed in the general direction of Finley's nuts. But I still maintain that it was all "wrong place, wrong time;" there is lots of room for interpretation. I've watched this clip over and over and over and over and I still remain unconvinced that Terry did anything intentional. What really galls me about this decision is the fact that Terry is being suspended for "throwing a punch." Now think about this for a second: according to the league, the fact that Terry balled up his fist and threw his arm (to say NOTHING about making contact) is justification for suspension. (I suppose Terry should've simply reached into Finley's shorts and yanked; that would've only cost $10k). With that logic, nobody can ball up their fists and punch the air. Far-fetched, I know, but no more so than Stern's straw-grasping with this decision. I mean, it'd be one thing if Terry just up and racked the guy out in the open; this was clearly not the case. This series has been too intense for petty BS like that. But again, I'm a Mavs fan, so....... -

Geezus, who pissed in your Corn Flakes this morning? No animosity there, you just seem to be completely convinced that there was no punch when "everybody" else saw it. peace, My apologies, brother; no animosity here, either. But that Bayless article reeeeeeeeeeeally pissed me off.
