  1. Geezus, who pissed in your Corn Flakes this morning?
  2. I'm sorry, I've watched that video over and over and I don't see where Terry was doing anything other than trying to get his bearings. He was on his back, people flying all over him, Finley was in the path of Terry trying to get himself together. But, after watching it a whole bunch and especially in slow motion, I can see where they might see that as a legitimate punch. I'm not sure this will ever be truly resolved. However, something else I thought of: if Bayless thinks that the Mavs have needed the refs to win this series, then he TRULY has not been paying attention to this series, which, regardless of who wins, oughta go down as one of THE fiercest, most competitive, most EXCITING playoff series EVER! But again, that's Bayless for ya.....
  3. Don't I know it, which makes last night's ruling that much more unforgivable. Mark my words, Stern wants another Pistons-Spurs series so badly, he can almost suck on it.
  4. Skip Bayless is so full of shit, it's no wonder he scampered outta this town with his tail between his legs and his head up his ass. Hell, even Molly Ivins thinks he's a spineless wimp. If he seriously thinks the NBA wants the Mavs to win, he hasn't been watching. The NBA and David Stern despise Cuban far more than Bayless does, and Bayless is only saying it now because the two newspapers in D/FW (who wisely let his sorry ass go a long time ago) don't publish his bullshit which causes the fans to call for his head on a platter. That call against Terry was bullshit, plain and simple. Not only does the tape NOT show Terry landing a punch to Finley, but it also shows THREE OTHER SPURS watching the same play. Didn't any of THEM have the guts to say something? Bayless knows a lot about one thing, and that's being gutless. And now he wants us to believe that the Spurs are rolling over and playing dead for the refs, and I'm sorry: no team gets this far being gutless. Unfortunately, Bayless has made a failed career of doing just that. GO MAVS!!! FUCK SKIP BAYLESS!!!
  5. God help you if THAT baby crashes!
  6. This may seem kinda redundant, but where is the inventory? The cash registers? The employees???? Never mind. Missed the word "subterranean." Go back to what you were doing.
  7. This Peter Gabriel stuff is hilariously mesmerizing! Don't forget: Watcher of the Skies All twenty-seven minutes (and INTRO) of Supper's Ready and my favorite, one I must've played/listened to at work about twenty-zillion times at work today, I Know What I Like Also, heap big thanks to Matthew for the Bill Evans links. Seeing my favorite Evans song, "Elsa," performed by the man himself is literally a dream come true!
  8. From what I saw of the clip, the... er, ball was loose, and Terry made a grab for it. His hands ended up in the extremely wrong place, but from what I saw, it looked unintentional. Politics, David Stern style.
  9. ALMOST as cool as Garth Brooks with KISS! Nope, not gonna open that one!!! I want to sleep tonight......
  10. If Dallas doesn't win tomorrow at home, the Spurs will take game seven. Mark my words.
  11. Don't forget Stanley Turrentine's SUGAR. Stanley and Freddie challenge and complement each other ferociously, just like on the live version of "Red Clay." Any other recordings with these two on the front line to recommend?
  12. It's like asking a Mets fan to root for the Yankees, or vice versa.
  13. It'll be interesting to see how the Rangers rebound tonight. Games like last night can break an entire season, if they let 'em.
  14. Dave, As a Ranger fan, all I can say (besides "quit yer whining" ) is, "Welcome to my world."
  15. I shouldn't've said anything; may have jinxed 'em! -_-
  16. Just win the next two, OK? Gotta celebrate the wins when I can; they don't come often against these guys! Well I hope you really enjoyed it while it lasted, cuz this loss tonite is the damn ugliest, most pathetic collapse I've seen in years, probably ever. God I hope the Yanks don't take this as the jumping off point for a streak. Y'know, I tend to expect very little from my guys, but for God's sake: how hard can it be to hold a NINE-RUN LEAD?????? Every damn pitcher that threw a ball tonight should be fined a week's salary for tonigt's nightmare! And Tex, too, for his two base-running blunders.
  17. Just win the next two, OK? Gotta celebrate the wins when I can; they don't come often against these guys!
  18. Rangers break an 8-game losing streak against the Yankees in NY and are now 10-5 on the road. Who'da thunk?
  19. I would switch places between A Thousand Leaves and Washing Machine, but otherwise totally agree with this assessment.
  20. What he said they said!
  21. Sorta like Grant Green playing the same note for measures on end, yeah? That's cool that people dig 'em, just not my cup o' soda.
  22. Thanks for the heads-up and the link. Listening to the tracks right now, and it sounds like it's in the same vein as their last two albums, which I loved. Looking forward to 6/13!!!
  23. Also, does it seem like Hubbard relies more on those "trills" more and more on his CTI dates? It seems as if he runs out of ideas, he goes to those trills!
  24. Only have Red Clay and Straight Life and while I like RC, I find SL much more stimulating.
  25. Whatever happened to your old Squidward avatar? Until I started watching Spongebob a few years ago, I thought that was an old Friz Freleng cel of some sort.
