Skip Bayless is so full of shit, it's no wonder he scampered outta this town with his tail between his legs and his head up his ass. Hell, even Molly Ivins thinks he's a spineless wimp. If he seriously thinks the NBA wants the Mavs to win, he hasn't been watching. The NBA and David Stern despise Cuban far more than Bayless does, and Bayless is only saying it now because the two newspapers in D/FW (who wisely let his sorry ass go a long time ago) don't publish his bullshit which causes the fans to call for his head on a platter. That call against Terry was bullshit, plain and simple. Not only does the tape NOT show Terry landing a punch to Finley, but it also shows THREE OTHER SPURS watching the same play. Didn't any of THEM have the guts to say something? Bayless knows a lot about one thing, and that's being gutless. And now he wants us to believe that the Spurs are rolling over and playing dead for the refs, and I'm sorry: no team gets this far being gutless. Unfortunately, Bayless has made a failed career of doing just that. GO MAVS!!! FUCK SKIP BAYLESS!!!

One of our board members drew mine (apologies for forgetting) in response to a thread I started, which was an apology for what I thought was a pretty tacky thread I'd started earlier. I like it because that's the way I hope to come across to others: forgiving, accepting, and inviting. It also ties in with my favorite verse from Scripture, Matthew 11:28-29, the "come to Me all you who are weary" verse. Which was ironic, as the artist later pointed out to me that he was an atheist. Oh well..... I still like it.

In the Melvin Sparks thread, a lot of the recommendations of recent records seem to be on Savant Records (a division of Highnote?). I checked their website, and found a lot of the recent greeeeaze (Sparks, Charles Earland, Reuben Wilson, etc) is being released by Savant. I have nothing released by these artists on this label, so what do y'all think? It seems like a throwback to the late-60's era Prestige when organ-jazz dominated their roster and releases.
