  1. On to disc three . So much good music.
  2. A reliable source on SACD and other high resolution discs issued is https://www.hraudio.net/
  3. Got the Wilson today. The vocals are not in the least annoying. On the contrary: Nan Wynn is such a sweet voice! And Pee Wee Russell plays some equally sweet solos on some of the tracks with her. So many great swing musicians in that collection!
  4. When I returned from work at 2 p.m. the package with the Teddy Wilson box was there on our doormat. How nice to start the week
  5. Too bad Oppo stopped making these players.
  6. Yes. You have both options search for leader dates only or all appearances.
  7. The set is no longer shown on the Mosaic website. Jazzmessengers still has some in stock.
  8. Recieved today, remaastering sounds very good!
  9. In preparation for the Mosaic box I just ordered.
  10. I'd have to listen to it again, but on the spot cannot recall any Tolliver solos - Ayers, Laws, Bartz, Hancock - but no Tolliver. He solos nicely a few times on Ayers' first Atlanttic album, Virgo Vibes.
  11. Just ordered a copy from Jazz Messengers. I would hate to miss that one ....
  12. Re Jack McVea - there is this JSP box:
  13. Agree on Hubert Laws. That cover was meant to illustrate the title, not the session personnel. Sharrock was Ayers' bandmate with Herbie Mann, who even had Linda sing on some gigs as you can hear on the recently issued tracks from the Whisky A Go Go. The guy on the low right looks more like Billy Cobham to me. He played on a Mann-produced Ron Carter album on Embryo, that also featured Tate.
  14. Today's selections:
  15. Too many bare feet to remember.
  16. Me too .......
