  1. That cover really deserves LP size!
  2. That one was included in the Mosaic Select dedicated to Richards - I guess you would prefer a single dics reissue?
  3. It looks like this is another product of Roulette now belonging to Warner - excellent sound. If they would reissue all of her albums in such audio quality with proper discographical documentation, I'd buy it all one more time.
  4. Sides 5 & 6 - the Al Cohn arranged session and the quartet session with Horace Silver. "Four" was in my head yesterday while doing market shopping with my wife.
  5. Just looked at the facebook page lonked - the goal of $ 35.000 was reached!
  6. Disc IV with harpsichord suites
  7. Happy Birthday! Keep swingin' the lake and the mountains!
  8. Look at the albums at his feet: Roy Ayers, Curtis Mayfield ..... is he playing some tunes from these? With some meditative intros? Don't get me wrong, I'd appreciate that.
  9. Fantasy should have honoured her and all its other organists with comprehensive box sets.
  10. Thanks Jim - I saw no reason to doubt there was some connection, given the Californian context, and as the younger Moore was listed as Phil Moore III somewhere in the Wilson context.
  11. Could that be the Phil Moore who played piano in Gerald Wilson`s Orchestra in the 1960*s? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Moore_(jazz_musician)
  12. Herbie told differently on several occasions.
  13. Collectorz has a fee? Beyond Category is free. Try it!
  14. This noon in the car on the way to Frankfurt and back:
  15. Started my way through this box in the afternoon Everyone seriously interested in J.S. Bach should know his second cousin Walther, who was an important influence when both worked at the Weimar court. Bach considered Walther's chorale settings as being better than his own! Simone Stella plays very good, as always.
  16. It's because they are pop music based, where group names dominate. I typed all of my LPs and CDs into doscogs, jusr to know a possible value of my collection. In classical music, they are not as complete, as far as CD releases are concerned. I typed in all my classical LPs, the CDs are still waiting. All the issues above are due to the users evaluating issues as separate or a variation of an existing issue. Steven Albin designed Beyond Category for this purpose.
