    Joe Chambers

I had the original Muse LP but sold it after I got the 32Jazz CD, as it sounds better.
  2. Yesterday and today:
  3. I saw that band in Frankfurt that year. I sat so close to the band I could smell their sweat. It was a very nice evening. I am glad I saw Eddie live.
  4. Jazzmessengers uses different carriers depending on the destination, UK after Brexit complicates things, unfortunately, and slows down delivery. I always received my parcels from them within two to five days, but, alas, I live in a EU country .... I sold a box set privately to a UK forum member, it was in the UK after three days and then it took a week to be processed by the customs.
  5. Rooster, just hang in there - it is worth the wait, and she will never forget that you tried to stay at her side all the time once things get better. Working overtime seems to be a normal state of things these days, bur what is thrown at ther simply is too much, and IMHO this causes her sleeping problems and cannot ne cured by pills. Try to make a deal to get a vacation time together and a definite statement for the assistance later this year, because reducing that amount of work is the only cure and will save both your heath and marriage. I will cross my fingers and pray for you, ask only for enough strength to master the next day and you will get through. My wife and I had similar problems with our working situation and got through, and now we are in happy retirement, so will you!
  6. As there is a cheapo set with four CDs I don't see that coming ....
  7. Please note that it's Pony Poindexter playing the alto sax solos, not Cannonbal!
  8. I definitely would buy a CD of this.
  9. Yesterday: Right now while dusting bookshelves:
  10. I have a European pressing of the Savoy reisue that sounds very good.
  11. Listened to it this afternoon - nice, but not that fascinating. But I love both versions of the Ellington Suite, and especially love to hear both Horn and Collette on the originally issued LP. I don't mind changing CDs when listening to them via the Mosaic
  12. The different acoustics of the rooms, I suppose, plus sitting at greater distance from the speakers. But the Marantz makes a mellower, less contoured sound.
