Current owner is son of Tom Albach who set up the label I had a lovely chat with Harv about Outernational about 4 years ago in the KX HJ. He told me that Tom Albach had been happy to let him reissue what he did but I guess he would say that wouldn't he. I have sketchy memories of some details of the deal he described to me but they're too sketchy to share in.public. He was chatty then, maybe 4 years working in HJ have taken their toll...

Just finished this. I either warmed to the style or it became a little less jumpcut as the narrative progressed. Either way it's a really interesting read and a great companion to anyone's Threadgill listening.

Yes, I was more wondering why so few recordings. I guess illness might explain the 5 silent years depending on what caused his early death. That scene was pretty alive still in the late 80s and he'd made an impact on the two EHE recordings. Also, somewhat telling that the only wiki entry is in Dutch. No entry in the English language version.

Sitting listening to Ethnic Heritage Ensemble's 'Impressions' and hearing 'Light' Henry Huff's contributions makes me wonder what his story is. According to Discogs he played on EHE's 'Three Gentleman From Chikago', the Shadow Vignettes album and Infinite Spirit Music's 'Live Without Fear', all of which I really rate. Why no more recordings? Nothing since 1988 Anyone know any more about him? A quick Google search brought up little of relevance
