  1. I have all of them, apart from the Taylor for some reason. Enjoyed them all when they came out and revisit the Haden, AEOC, Old & New Dreams and Coleman occasionally.
  2. It does, doesn't it. I'm always surprised how there's so much to hear each time I dig his music out. Never disappoints
  3. A titan, in so many ways. I was due to go to that concert a thousand years ago and life got in the way
  4. The second has the added bonus of Elaine Michener, always a big plus in this household
  5. Holding out for the LP, so far. Just one day I realise...
  6. Just one for me today Sabir Mateen 'Creation' on 577. Edit to correct the autocorrect. Although I quite liked Sabine Mateen
  7. Great, thank you
  8. I agree about Thomas. The two recent releases on Otoroku on which he features are both worth investigating. The duo with Matana Roberts and the Black Top https://www.cafeoto.co.uk/shop/somegoodnews/ That Local's sounds great fun
  9. What else by him would you recommend CT, or others?
  10. I've had a couple of LP deliveries from EU and both have arrived quickly and without any extra payment. Looks like it's the old "will it, won't it" jeopardy as with customs charges from US
  11. That's Vimeo. So the reissue sounds better than the original?
  12. They did, there's a clip of the shop in one of the Sun Ra films, 'A Joyful Noise' iirc
  13. Here it is. This is the video that persuaded me to buy a copy last year
  14. Like that music, a lot
  15. Great music from Jaimie Branch, available for another 24 hours https://www.eventbrite.com/e/jaimie-branch-trio-and-theo-darst-afa-on-line-salon-tickets-142760920757
  16. I'd forgotten he was on that Lloyd, time to revisit
  17. Lanquidity box set now up for pre-order at Strut's Bandcamp https://sunrastrut.bandcamp.com/album/lanquidity-definitive-edition
  18. Sad news. 'Sings the Wailers' was a big album for back in the 80s
  19. Just listened to David Murray's 'Deep River' and 'Ballads', the only time I saw Ralph Peterson Jr. was with Murray. He was great then and he stokes these two recordings whether playing hot or cool.
  20. Oh no! Hadn't listened to him in a while but his BN dates were great. He had some fine players on those dates.
  21. American Gods, season two, just started. Loved the book and this adaptation is keeping my eye ntetedt despite some longueurs.
  22. 2LP version
  23. Just read about the extra tracks. I'm happy to buy vinyl but the cost with postage to UK is £49 which means they've got be a great 20 minutes!
