Anyone else surprised to see Paul Lytton drumming on the '69 session? Not his usual habitat. Also, I'm going to find the announcers very tiresome each time I listen to this, they really break up the run of the music which is fabulous. Their inclusion may make the difference for me to purchase or stream. I really can't see what they're meant to add beyond quaint historical context - a mistake I feel.

One's the high street chain based on shifting units the other's the local indie based on consumer connection and shifting fewer units. I'm sure other analogies abound. When I saw the writer was in Galaxie 500 I had to smile, quintessential Indie band which isn't a bad thing at all but easy to see why he loves Bandcamp. He probably had trouble getting his CDs stocked in Tower and HMV back in the dark ages

I hadn't read them but I feel compelled to now I saw the Orchestra in London about five years ago having not heard any of their music, just booked on reputation. They were tremendous. I definitely heard how the reputation was gained. The other thing i remember is the CDs for sale on her merch table were crazily expensive, about £25. Was pleased when 'Data Lords' was available as a download.

I've had this for a few weeks and after a number of plays think it's a very strong release. Nice contrast between the two sets.

Of interest to chose of us interested in Evan Parker. I've not watched it yet but Trance Map at the Vortex is one of the most outstanding of Evan's concerts I've attended over the years. Mind you that was set up with surround speakers around the venue which may not be easy for all of us to replicate. Anyway, here it is

That's a fascinating read, thanks for posting. Only in the last few months have I really become aware of and listened to JuJu and very much regretted not doing so sooner. I tend to the freer end of things so the shift to Oneness of Juju hasn't quite lit the same fire for me yet but I'll be revisiting. I'm searching out this compilation and given Strut's past efforts the news of their ongoing commitment to the catalogue can only be great news. As an aside, I vividly remember go-go arriving here in UK and finding it really exciting.

i rate "Tone Hunting" highly too. I find the presence of Mazur is quite often a very good indicator of quality

That's a shame, I was assuming downloads were available like other No Business releases. Space constraints dictate dl over Cd increasingly.

What I love about downloads is you can discover something and be playing it within minutes. This is so good, just purchased the live follow-up
