  5. Throwing Muses - Hunkpapa Probably 25 years since I heard this. It's aged well but I didn't care for my vinyl as well back then...
  6. Best post of the thread. A virus doesn't have a nationality, end of. Hope you're hanging in there porcy62. The UK medical world is learning a lot from the Italian experience. A sad consequence but one that may save some lives in the end.
  7. That just about describes my cataloguing - separate sheets for vinyl, CDs and now downloads for each genre Jazz, Classical and laughingly 'non- Jazz'. Kind of shows my priority genre-wise.
  8. Whilst I respect the logic he hasn't been seen in public for quite a while so I suspect his status as a super spreader is pretty low. Just announced that UK will have mass self-testing available in days, delivered to those self-isolating by Amazon. Available to others in chemists. A good development if achieved.
  9. Seems to have been able to get a test when frontline NHS staff can't. 1649.
  10. Holland, Cowell and Bartz. All great recordings. Nice choices. I didn't realise 'Illusion Suite' was oop. Always been a vinyl listen for me.
  11. The discrepancy between government reassurances of the availability of PPE and the testimony of frontline staff is stark and seemingly increasing. I know who I tend to believe.
  12. Which is what happens when you appeal to people's better nature rather than tell them. You can't be everyone's best mate in an international emergency.
  13. I'm kind of hoping that's the case
  14. Cafe Oto in London if your tastes are for the out reached of the genre I had the same from New Year until a couple of weeks ago. Worse cough I've ever had, significant shortness of breath. Remember feeling very unwell at its peak but not sure I had the Covid temperature. Scan showed likely pneumonia but I do wonder. Follow up x-ray this week if they're still doing them.
  15. Mine's doing deliveries of beer and pizza https://www.thegoodnessbrew.co/
  16. The top two are great. The bottom two look interesting. I'm really enjoying the first play of this at the moment
  17. Beautifully sunny Spring day in London requires some summery vibes
  18. Yes of course, 'Song of Solomon'
  19. Hilary Mantel - The Mirror and the Light Don't let it deter you from trying another at some point. Maybe 'Sula', 'The Bluest Eye' or 'Beloved'
  20. And it's a fabulous album
  21. Currently listening to a great trio performance by Hannah Marshall, Alex Hawkins & Mat Wright - live stream from Cafe Oto Tomorrow's is a duo John Edwards & Steve Noble, just for you Steve Reynolds
  22. I work for a charity supporting older people, we have received hundreds of offers of help. Sadly, we have also been advised by the police of the first instances of doorstep scammers targeting the old. F###### scum.
  23. Cafe Oto are live streaming. Evan Parker Trance Map tomorrow. Tune in. And don't forget to donate.
  24. London lockdown now officially dismissed as rumour which won't be great when they really have to do it in a few weeks time. Local supermarket shelves stripped bare at 7.30 this morning. Madness
