  1. The package I received wasn't wrapped in bubble wrap but a metallic blue plastic. I received two packages both in that packing. If it's coming from the same source then why wouldn't they all be packaged the same.
  2. Just starting Simon Spillet's 'The Long Shadow of the Little Giant'. Accompanying my deep delve into the Fontana box set
  3. Mine was a signed for delivery but I only realised that when I got the delivery confirmation email - the signature image was my name but not my signature. I can only assume the courier "signed" for it retrospectively. It wouldn't surprise me if you get a knock on the door this evening or tomorrow. Hermes have always been my least favourite delivery company.
  4. Sorry to hear about these tribulations. It is worth the wait
  5. That's a beautiful book, such a feeling of place. I must reread it one day. Not sure he's surpassed it although 'Last Orders' is mighty fine.
  6. It's the stripey jumper's fault...
  7. Funny how people don't let misogyny get in the way of alleged genius. Always was and always will be my issue with FZ. No excuses, not the widely proposed "irony" for such behaviour. Man was a wanker. Cue the can't judge the music by the man excuses.
  8. It does. The contrast between the Garbarek and Corea's Return to Forever choices makes that point eloquently. There was just too much good music in the catalogue at the time (and I'd the make a case for later too but that's another story).
  9. Happy Birthday!! Thanks for all the great radio shows
  10. A great listen, thanks. I know most of the music well but it's good to hear it together in the historical context.
  11. I got the flyers too... Hermes delivered the Tubby, received an email notification about an hour in advance
  12. LP set just arrived. Looks great almost too good to open 😁
  13. I'm assuming they're shipping tomorrow which is even more wishful. I have got a Parcelforce card from today so maybe...
  14. I should have listened to this. A fan of the Frequency, Amina, Here In Now and Crispell suggests some coincidence of taste. I had trouble tracking the Dawkins down in UK/Europe when I first became aware of it. This is my prompt to look again
  15. Aha! Thanks for clarifying ( good to see someone else keeps an excel catalogue) I ordered the Pure Pleasure this morning prompted by your post, so thank you. I'd been meaning to for ages, enough of streaming it I need to hold it
  16. And my favourite artist is evidently The Cinematic Orchestra. I like them a lot certainly but not enough to have bought the album I've streamed the most this year...it's good tube commute music. Mind you, it was a clever ploy as I couldn't resist looking who was in the top five.
  17. I can't find any reference to an Outernational Sounds reissue of the Adele Sebastian, either on Discogs or their own site. Is it recent?
  18. Since my initial post, I've had a very interesting chat with the guy behind Outernational in which he told me the lengths to which he'd gone to collaborate with Tom Albach about the reissue of Jesse Sharps reissue. I imagine his subsequent reissues have followed on in the same vein.
  19. On Spotify in the UK. Well worth a listen
  20. Now that looks really interesting. Not cheap over here but it is Xmas soon...present to selve? Thanks for posting it
  21. Happy Birthday listening!
  22. You mean there's music performed outside London?! Oto must have been yesterday I'd be at many of them. Yes, that line up could finish at any point given past relationships involved
  23. That box set is three CDs too long for me. I'm missing tomorrow at Oto, wish I wasn't.
  24. Couldn't agree more. I took a punt on it as my intro to him and it's that and more I'd say. Great release. I have that 'Message from the Tribe' compilation too. It needs to come out again. Over here, Pure Pleasure have been reissuing some Tribe affiliated LPs recently with the cooperation of Harrison, Ranelin and others which points to the continued currency of the music to today's audience, I'd suggest.
