I sincerely hope so. Less than ten years ago I saw him with John Butcher, John Edwards and Mak Sanders. He seemingly paid absolutely no attention to the others, ploughed his own furrow drowning them out for the best part of an hour's improv. It was either a bold statement of musical independence or ignorance. I know which one I felt it was. Love nearly everything he's done with SY btw

According to Gilles Peterson she didn't like the cover picture though, so probably didn't have a hand in that. Hence a new one for the reissue. Yes. Arc is his new reissue label. This its second release.

Money talks. Big money talks loudly. Frankly I'm fed up with all the news coverage of the "will they, won't they" with the Premiership and the return of 'top flight' football in Europe. As much as I like my football it really does fade into insignificance compared to other priorities. Online adverts for betting companies and the Bundesliga today say it all really. Given the privations that many are suffering right now the sight of such astronomically reimbursed, pampered sportsmen playing again at the moment actually sticks in the craw somewhat. He must think that all his "friendly experiences" are rolling in £ or $. I would have bought any number of 2CD set versions of these recent boxes. It surprises me that all the recent collaborations are so successful to merit such documentation. But maybe that's not the criterion. But he knows what he wants to release and good luck to him if he's making money from them. He's done enough in my book to do what he wants unquestioned by the likes of me.

That article just makes me so glad I was on the losing side 250 years ago And given what's happening over here at the moment it takes something to say that.
