  1. Phew! I was just looking at copies on Discogs. Although I think I may 'have spent enough with my Jamal bundle already today...
  2. As a non-father am I allowed to listen to it? 😃 Currently listening to Byard Lancaster - It's Not Up To Us [Superior Viaduct, USA 2023 RE] I could listen to the first two tracks of this album on repeat all day I think, just beautiful playing by everyone
  3. I think I prefer this over the original
  4. Yes, the CD. I can probably stream it on Tidal
  5. I don't think there is a CD box of this, just four CDs issued separately. They are all appearing on European sellers sites individually at least. Think link up thread from the label was for a special price bundle of the four individual CDs not a box
  6. Pretty astonishing labour of love by the looks of it and by its description on the BC page Now this one sounds interesting
  7. The Artifacts Trio, at Oto last night. Fabulous concert, two concise sets, swinging as hell. Three great players/composers showcasing their own compositions and some by AACM masters, especially Steve McCall. Nice chat with Mike Reed at half time too.
  8. Keep going @Pim, this is an invaluable service that's helping me decide which of the albums to consider buying separately! I'm only in for one or two of them at most
  9. That's great, it must be 45 years since I last listened to Rory
  10. I'm beginning to wonder if I can introduce these type of fire drills whilst working from home...
  11. Olie Brice is the next one to inherit the Edwards mantle here I think.
  12. Barbar Dumbo Donald J. Trump
  13. I'm getting this as soon as it hits these shores, I expect Oto will stock it
  14. Robert del Naja Grant Marshall Adrian Thaws
  15. Worthy of note for the title alone That modern Blue Note not releasing Jazz again...
  16. I was at one of the gigs. It was very good
  17. Edwards/Noble is my Oto rhythm section. I like Sanders a lot too mainly because he is more improv-ey. I had a ticket for that Jones gig and was sad not to be able to attend. I like the early albums too.
  18. Aneurin Bevan Ernest Bevin The Bevin Boys
  19. Great collection of music
  20. Great photo and pretty good album too
  21. Absolute gem And another. I played it last week and for the first time in ages realised how strong side 2 is That's been my issue with his entire career. I always wish he'd hired a vocalist to sing his lyrics. And yes, I do realise this is tantamount to a heresy
  22. Got my copy yesterday, first listen was very positive
