Thanks for taking the time to listen and then to comment so fully @webbcity. I'm pleased that you had what sounds like a largely enjoyable listen too. Great spot on the Track 14 tune, there are lots of very lovely versions of it, this one being the latest I've heard. And yes, absolutely, we all need as much Harry Beckett in our lives as possible
  10. Warming up for SME obviously
  11. I bet, I saw them twice early on. Both were standing venues and they had London crowds dancing which isn't usual for a rock crowd over here I stopped listening to them about the time of 'Kiko' only because I moved more into Jazz and left Rock behind. I can imagine they're still great, they always had lots of soul.
  12. Yesterday, the Jon Lloyd Quartet featuring John Law on piano, at Pizza Express Soho. Lloyd sounding great playing the ECM inspired music of his "comeback" album. I only know Fishwick of those names I think. I need to get to the Parakeet at some point.
  13. Makes perfect sense now you explain it. I'd have Karyobin in 'Nice Jazz', it's not nearly as scary as it's reputation my suggest. Now that Doyle, definitely 'Evil Jazz'. My partner has a similar categorisation, 'Evil Music' for all Jazz...
  14. Saw them when they toured that in the UK, fantastic
  15. That sounds like a group I could get on with, I rate Rasmussen highly too
  16. Bono Bonobo The Monkees
  17. George Foreman Hugo Boss Chairman Of The Board
  18. And it was easy getting into the piggy banks too I guess... 'Evil Jazz' shelf, interesting concept
  19. No shame in Discogs surely It's a great album and just sometimes it has to be done...how the kids will take to bread and water for the rest of the month is a different matter altogether
  20. Georges Simenon Simon Le Bon The Hungry Wolf
  21. Andrew Hill Sextet Plus 10 - A Beautiful Day Revisited
  22. Your secret's safe...enjoy owning it. Where did you get it from?
  23. Jackie Oatts Rachel Unthank June Tabor
