How long before Pat Boone, or Kenny G are mentioned? À chacun son goût.

:tup On a more serious note, though, reports over here had it today that a NEWBORN child in a maternity unit in Poland was diagnosed with an alcohol level of 0.45!!! (no, not 0.045 - really 0.45!) This because the mother who had collapsed SLOPPY DRUNK in public had to be rushed to the hospital to have the child delivered in an emergency before more serious damage was done. The poor newborn is still in critical condition, though. Wonder if that "mother" has a driver's license and whatever she might have been up to at other occasions .. On the actual subject, beats me how ANYBODY can make enjoying themselves at whatever party or public event depend on gulping down alcoholic beverages. Is that really THAT necessary? Can't these characters loosen up and enjoy themselves without resorting to "little helpers" like that? And what's this thing about ruining club/restaurant business? Are there that many who feel they are being sneered at for being "weaklings" if they limit themselves to soft drinks or whatever non-alcoholic stuff whenevery they have to drive? Maybe a reevaluation of the company they're keeping might be in order, then ... Well, restaurants do make money off of the food and beverages they sell. I don't think a BAC of 0.08 will make anyone stone, sloppy drunk. My problem is with this one-size-fits-all determination of what is called DUI. Who said anything about "stone, sloppy drunk"? By that point....it's a miracle anyone isn't in an accident that doesn't result in their, and/or other's deaths. Do you understand the difference between being impaired and legally drunk?....and once again.... by the time they finally test someone however many hours later and they're still 0.08....they were way above 0.8 when they were initally arrested?
-
True. But at some point reality of restaurants losing business needs to set in along with personal responsibility of the consumer. Personally, if I drink I simply do not drive. Period. But if a guy has a beer at the ballpark, suddenly he's a DUI just because he hits an arbitrary number? Police will take it to mean anybody with alcohol on their breath needs to be run in or given a sobriety test irrespective of the ability to drive a vehicle. It happens with far too much regularity here in California and I have a real problem with that. One beer won't register as a DUI for anyone....unless they drank the beer minutes before. Even if they're arrested....there is still Urine/Blood tests to confirm things...by the time they're tested it's hours later. As in, by that time.....the person in question was way over the legal limit when they were first arrested if they still register @ 0.8. Of course, this doesn't even bring up the difference between being impaired and legally considerd drunk

Roberto Mancini fired just one year after taking Manchester City to it's first league title in 44-years. At least he has the 5-year/$38+ millon contract he signed last July. -

From the 2nd of the those days @ Fillmore East. It was also Wayne Shorter's last performance with Miles.

Always came across as generic cock rock that would be perfect for elevators. I will second that....especially in the 70's with Miles being more rock than Miller. It was around the time Bitches Brew was released. Neil Young & Crazy Horse were also on the bill and somehow Steve Miller was the headliner. Miles showed up late each night so he would close the show. haha

Really amazing how much they're trying to make Moyes out to be the the second coming of Ferguson. -

Alex Ferguson is retiring. His final game is May 19th. David Moyes from Everton is the front-runner to replace him. José Mourinho is also being mentioned, but I only see that happening if from some unbelievable reason Moyes turns them down. -
Using this site http://www.thefind.com/ .which is really good...I found this site. Never used them, but they list a 24 Ultrasharp under $204. It doesn't mention if they're new or refurbished. http://www.serverfuture.info/ Blue Train, what is the "Ex. Tax" listed at the ServerFuture website? It consistently doubles the price of the monitors. Is that a VAT that Americans don't have to pay? It looks like my budget won't allow me to go much higher than $200. Sorry, I missed this. Yes, and no you wouldn't had to pay. Congratulations.

Anyone order online from Downtown Music Gallery?
Blue Train replied to CJ Shearn's topic in Miscellaneous Music
In store....it's allegedly cash....for a debit card it has to be over $50 and $100 for al credit card. Online it's doesn't matter. As in, the whole thing is bogus if you buy 2-3 things in store and are at least using a debit card. I have never had a problem...and they only charge you when the full order you order is mailed. -
I agree!

It's a sequal to The Politician's Wife from 1995. I enjoyed it a lot more than Broadchurch.

For those nominated or considering it. The whole idea to have several moderators (especially from different time zones) is that it make it more likely one will be around, or available via pm (which should email them even if they're not on the board) when needed. Even with JSngry....it's now two moderators with real world lives in the same time zone. No sane person expects any moderator to be checking in constantly. P.S. You don't need to check all the threads....because next to no one does that either, but there are times things will be reported to you and you can then check to see if anything needs to be done about it.

I doubt that. Even taking into account how hard he works out....he probably will be lucky if he's only out 9 months. I would be more confident if he went to one of the best foot/ankle specialist. You have to remeber the whole 6 to 9 month thing is ffor the normal person. Not a athelete of Kobe's abilities, age, and wear and tear on his legs already. I couldn't even find any NBA player who previously came back from that injury. He's going to be putting a lot more stress on it than the normal person recovering. The average NFL player were it's more common takes about 11 months to recover.

With Kobe looking possibly as much missing the entire next season...Nash going on 60....and D'Antoni the coach. D'Antoni has no clue how to coach Gasol, or Howard, or for that matter most everyone not named Nash. They should do a sign and trade with Howard (by doing it that way....he makes more money and they get something in return.) and amnesty Kobe. He still get's paid his $30 million but they don't have to face close to $100 in luxary tax on top of the team payroll. They could use the money to start the rebuilding. It gives Kobe a chance to rehab a year and then they can resign him if he is able to play. Do they have any of their draft picks left for the next couple years?

I used to be able to change how many posts in a thread, or how far back in terms of amount of threads in each forum. I just realized, I can't seem to go farther back then a month to look for any threads in different forums. I think that happened with the latest software change. It's still mentioned in the help section under Your Control Panel "My Controls". I have a "My Settings" but it doesn't show anything on changing http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?app=core&module=help

A new 3cd set of two live performances by Thomas Chapin.....including his last performance. http://thomaschapin.com/articles-cd-reviews/226/never-let-me-go-3-cd-thomas-chapin-quartets-95-and-96 They also recieved the funding need to start filming the documentary about him. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/290658030/night-bird-song-the-thomas-chapin-story P.S. I am not sure if theis board's search engine is working but no mention of Chapin can be found. I know there is one member who uses an avatar of him...and I know Steve Reynolds is a fan as well. For those new to him....my favorite would be his trio recording Sky Piece
