  1. pm sent on Jimmy Giuffre - Western Suite (Atlantic Masters) $8
  2. I agree. Don't know why Roth hasn't won the Nobel prize. Read it some years ago. Seem to remember it as a very strong novel that went into serious decline towards the end. The details escape me now. I agree with the last quote, good read but falls apart a bit at the end.
  3. Remember there are 4 tracks missing on that one. F I am only interested in "The Hap'ins" and "Reminiscin". Have the others in some sort of configuration... It is a shame when these go OOP.
  4. Following recomendation from friend and comments on this board
  5. I have wanted to pick that one up for a while after seeing his video on PBS... Talented guy. My link
  6. I went with his Blue Note years.. He seemed to gain confidence in his "sound" and as other have mentioned, it seems that he had more creative freedom at Blue Note. Let Freedom Ring, Right Now, Jacknife.....what is there left to say! Great stuff.
  7. I just recently upgraded to Windows 7. I have been a long user of Roxio myself but did not feel like paying the $72 dollars for the software. I have burned a cd with the new Windows media player. It is not as intuitive as I would like but it did put out a decent burn once I played with it a bit. ... Recently I downloaded the new Real Player in order to listen to our board member's program Nightlines..... I noticed the player looked like it had a good burn option. Just got through burning a disc using this program. It is a little easier to use. You store the disc in the library and just follow the prompts to complete a burn. Relative easy and Real Player is free. You might try it to see if you like it better. Roxio is still the easiest but for what I use it for it is not worth the money IMHO...... Good Luck.
  8. I would not kid about such a thing! Both are even on Saturday. http://www.danssilverleaf.com/shows/ Thet are both probably playing a gig at unt that day or something..... Is that the joint across the street from the bookstore on the corner?

I had a very similar reaction to this one FWIIW
  10. Wow!! NOT WORKING like that for me. I just bought a new computer from Dell. Windows 7 Latest IE browser. Interesting. I don't know why but when I click on multiquote it does not turn green but immediately takes me to the add reply box instead. I would prefer your experience I think
  11. I am getting the same result if I click on the reply button or the multiquote button. Both take me to the area to compose a post. The old multiquote function allowed one to check a number of quotes and include them all in a reply post. It appears there is a trick to getting this result that I am not aware but it must exist since many of you post with multiquotes. Probably a stupid question but I appreciate the help. Thanks
  12. accidental or a murder. the guy from Badfinger was a suicide, right? Manic depressive is the story angle now. I never heard it before this weekend. Nor had I (nor have I been reading any follow-ups to know if that angle was "gaining traction"), but really, doesn't it make sense? Not in terms of the addiction per se, but in terms of the excessive...."exhibitionism" she always seemed to display? MD sounds like an excuse or a reason, but it's not. If someone can't stop drinking or drugging and they don't admit they have a problem, their behavior could kill them. MD seems to be the latest vogue excuse to explain the unexplainable......suicide. Don't have any reason to know if that was the case here, but I have heard it used by a couple of families recently to explain their child's taking of their own life. It seems to add comfort to their grief so what the heck. Tragic in all respects.............
