  1. Those eyes!!!
  2. What a wonderful world.
  3. Mariner fans are idiots. They are still packing the house. We should have enjoyed a dynasty here with Randy Johnson, A-Rod, Ichiro, Junior, Ortiz, Podsednik, Varitek, Joe Mays...it's pathetic! They know very little about the game yet are very loyal regardless of the record. They're like Cubs fans without the knowledge of the game.
  4. Yeah well at least Texas is heading in the right direction. Seattle has the second highest revenue in baseball and the second worst record. It's a slap in the face to all the fans. I boycott the M's until they do something with all that cash they've racked in over the past few years.
  5. That article says one thing and one thing only to me.... We need more research to see if it's really happening or not....oh yeah, and vote for Bush in 04'.
  6. PLEASE LET THIS SEASON END.....MY MARINERS SUCK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Agreed! She taught in the Highline School District, which borders my West Seattle Neighborhood. Living in Seattle I imagine I've gotten a little extra coverage of this than those outside the area. Let me tell ya’, this woman is crazy – plain and simple. She’s a repeat child molester and she’ll do it again if given the chance. I'm quite shocked that anyone would try to defend her or justify her behavior. You should see some pictures of this boy when he was 12. He looked like a pre-pubescent child. She needs psychiatric care and should stay away from children, PERIOD.

    Monk

Amen! btw, where can I find those 70's sessions (especially the ones with the improvised pieces)?
  9. Izaak Mills, AKA Mr. Vitamin A. His group FLOSS has a new disc out on Monktail Records. He's a bad mutha - SHUT YO MOUTH! I'm just talkin' 'bout Mr. Vitamin A.
  10. I never heard that before.
  11. I agree 100%!!! And I'm a drummer.

    Jackie McLean

Greatest record ever made! With the exception of this one of course: But in all seriousness, Jackie is one of my all time favorites. His tone is da bomb! (as the kids like to say)
  16. In my opinion, the DH Qt. hasn't made an exciting album since 'Jumpin' In' in 83'. That band was a motherfucker! Julian Preister, Kenny Wheeler, Steve Coleman, and Steve Ellington...WOW! The group has put out very well executed and technically impressive rcords since then, but to my ears somehow something is missing.
  17. I'm gonna try and make it. Sounds good!
  18. Hey hey it's the Monkees!
  19. Thanks Joe, and if you guys ever are thinking of coming to Seattle, let me know and I'll try to help you find the proper venue. I'm sure Mr. Wilke would be glad to see you. -john
  20. Yes, thanks Dan. I had read this last week but hadn’t gotten around to posting it. I think it does a nice job of summing the CD up in as few words as possible. I’m proud of this CD, but the next one is going to turn some serious heads. We added a new trumpet player named Samantha Boshnak. She studied with Erica Lindsay and Baikida Carroll in NY and she is a fine soloist and fabulous composer. We plan on recording in August, with our second CD out in the Spring of 05’.
  21. No I don't. I should pick it up. I think Wizard is my fav too....more later.
  22. I been listening to some of my old Todd Rundgren records of late (Runt, The Ballad of Todd Rundgren, Something/Anything?, A Wizard, a True Star and Todd) and I must admit, I love his songs. He's a great guitar player, producer, singer and all, but his tunes are just sweet, catchy, and thoroughly life affirming. He grew up in the same neiborhood as I did (Upper Darby PA just outside of Philly) albeit 15 years before me. His more ballady tunes definitely have that Philly Sound (early Hall and Oats, the O'Jays, etc.), but he infuses them with a white boy, british invasion kind of sensibility. I really dig his Utopia Prog-rock stuff too. Anyone else here a Todd Rundgren fan?
  23. I missed this one.... I could have sworn that it was a woman.
  24. There is a board member here with the last name of Seman...I will not reveal who. Care to step forward Mr. Seman?
