  1. Andrew D'Angelo: Skadra Degis (Skirl 8)
  2. Jimmy Rushing: The You & Me That Used To Be

  7. The Wrestler Revolutionary Road Slumdog Millionaire I've Loved You So Long The Reader

  9. Francine Prose: Goldengrove
  10. Great choice & great price.
  11. I like Bernstein & Allen's Armstrong CD.
  12. McLean Redd Mobley
  13. Her segment in the Jazz On A Summer Afternoon film is excellent.
  14. Zadie Smith : On Beauty
  15. Both of the Loose Assembly CDs are excellent IMHO. I also suggest People Places & Things: Proliferation on 482. Mike Reed is the "leader" on all 3.
  16. I bought it too + the 2 new Mike Reed CDs on 482. First CDs I've purchased in months - since the economic meltdown.
  17. It seems to be on back order with all the usual suspects. A little hard to find, for some reason. I'd love to listen to that one. Appears to be in stock at CD Baby.
  18. Great CD. Irabagon recently won a saxophone contest which includes a recording deal with Concord. He'll scare the crap out of them. Might be fun. The group has a newer CD which is a "take" on Ornette's This Is Our Music. Haven't heard it, but I'd like to.
  19. MJQ version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. I know that's only one song, but it's the best I could come up with.
  20. I like it! /Shaft Another . Not essential Rouse or bossa nova for that matter, but very enjoyable. I agree.
  21. Late to the party, but I don't care for 27th Man. Stylings Of Silver - now that's a great album!! (IMHO)
