  1. AWESOME!!!! ← Man I just kicked some serious ass
  2. I have found used yourmusic.com since the $4.99 days and have not been disappointed. I'm still waiting for them to add some of the more recent BN stuff like Blanchard and Charlap, but in the meanwhile have picked up a lot of nice stuff. My last queue selection was the latest Kurt Rosenwinkel - outstanding. I've also picked up some stuff that I would not otherwise buy and some things that fall into the oldies category - like Rare Earth, some CCR. Over all I like it FAR better than BMG because there are none of those confounded monthly reply cards, the shipping is built right into the price and I don't have to get headaches figuring whether the buy 1 get two free deal is better than the buy one get unlimited at $2.99 depending on how many I buy, then figuring the shipping.........
  3. Metheny excels in these small group settings. For those who look upon the work of the Pat Metheny Group with disdane, it's an opportunity to see him display hs "real jazz" chops. I'm a huge Metheny fan and love the PMG. But hearing Metheny interpret some of his classic PMG tunes in a more straight ahead setting is always something special. The rest of the quartet - I'm honestly not too familiar with David Sanchez, but Antonio Sanchez and Christian McBrie are outstanding. So, GO!
  4. Go!
  5. Nice interview. OrganEEsEEmo? Have I been pronouncing it wrong all these years?
  6. I went to the Root Doctor site the other day and listened to the tracks available. That is some wicked-ass shit, I kid you not. I'm looking forward to hearing the new disc and hope you keep us apprised of the progress toward release. Fellow organissimonians - if you're at all into r&b/blues, definitely worth checking out.
  7. HUH????
  8. Congratulations David - Great news!
  9. Well, a brand new 2005 Trek 1500 now sits in my garage. Picked it up today. I'm taking my first ride tomorrow - can't wait. The bike shop I bought it from has been very helpful. They are also having a seminar on bicycle care in a couple of weeks that I'll be going to. Thanks to all for your help and comments - even if some were of the reality check nature. Always good to look all sides.
  10. No offense, but when I want Mosaic like service, I buy from Mosaic. I have purchased discounted Mosaic sets that were released by Mosaic for general sale, but I stick to retailers I've done business with in the past.
  11. But it is pronounced Throatwarbler Mangrove
  12. My real name is Sven Edwich
  13. And in the Four Freshmen world, it's the ONLY Mosaic set.
  14. You beat me to that one! Nice lineup of upcoming sets, I'd say.
  15. Plus the ones we already knew about - Tolliver, Rich, Berry, PJ Piano
  16. Oh yeah - Oliver Nelson
  17. Not to mention McCoy Tyner
  18. And Tony Williams fans
  19. Something in there for LP lovers, BTW
  20. Mosaic Future Projects
  21. I saw that on the other thread too. Last week someone had written that they were down to less than 100. At any rate, my point holds - Anita is on the Last Chance list, JJ is on the Running Low list. Pick up Anita now, save up for JJ in a couple of months. I don't think there's any urgency right now for JJ.
  22. Less than 100 Anita sets left. WAY more JJs. JJ is still in running low category. Buy the Anita now Save up for the JJ - plenty of time left on that one, IMO
