My favorite Havens album! "No Opportunity Necessary...", "Inside of Him", "The Klan", "From The Prison", "Run Shaker Life" all great cuts to me. And the live one we've been discussing is my favorite Hardin album. Wonderful musicianship on both.
Me too. I did not buy the Electric Ladyland Studios box, and found the Hollywood Bowl CD to be of little marginal value. It's been some years since any of the ongoing releases really knocked me out.
Jim Pons also played in the Leaves prior to his associations with the Turtles, Zappa, and Flo & Eddie. Sill was an extremely troubled individual, but some of her music was pretty great. Same is true of Essra Mohawk (Sandy Hurvitz)'s music.
RIP. I really liked the Turtles early folk-rock period, and found the later Turtles material interesting. I'm not really enamored of their work with Zappa, which to me was overly crude.

Some very desirable MPS albums being reissued on Ultra Vybe CD's in October. The three I'm thrilled by are Billy Harper - Trying to Make Heaven My Home, Hannibal Marvin Peterson - Hannibal, and Hannibal Marvin Peterson - Hannibal in Berlin. I'm going the Dusty Groove pre-order route on those three rather than risking CDJapan reciprocal tariff chaos, despite their much lower unit prices ($13.50 rather than DG's $18.99)/
