  1. RIP, listened to her often on Sirius/XM.
  2. I already own Evening. Do the extra tunes justify buying Complete Evening also?
  3. RIP. I was not really a fan, but had a lot of respect for her work.
  4. I also always use credit card through PayPal (another benefit is the cash back bonus on the card), and also have found credit card companies working harder for me on claims, where ebay/paypal always seem to side with the seller, ragardless of the true circumstances.
  5. RIP. Excellent 60's Philly band. "Open My Eyes" was their greatest moment, and was on the original legendary 'Nuggets' 2LP set, and more than held its own in that illustrious company. I listen to them more than to almost any other Todd work (the one exception being the splendid 'Back to the Bars'.
  6. Prince Lasha - Firebirds Live, Vol. 1
  7. How could we and still live our lives !!!
  8. It's really good, as are the first two entries in this series and the first two remaster sets. I'm in through the end of her Reprise/Asylum run, then I'll get off when the Geffen recordings start.
  9. HUGE win for my Phillies on Saturday. To beat Braves/Strider in Atlanta with basically a bullpen game? Great stuff, and totally changes the trajectory of the series for now.
  10. Schnitter plays on Blakey's spectacular 'Gypsy Folk Tales', the world's introduction to Bobby Watson's playing and composing.
  11. Led Zeppelin II - "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman") Wishbone Ash (self-titled) - "Handy" and "Phoenix" Pharoah Sanders 'Thembi' - "Love" and "Morning Prayer"
  12. Saw them at Keystone Korner. Incredible. Reggie Workman's bass playing and Harper's tenor blew me away. And the other groups on the bill were Bobby Hutcherson's and a late add of Dexter Gordon. Only time I ever saw Dex live, a mesmerizing experience.
  13. Had to Shazam on #11, as I was not going to ID it, and couldn't wait 3 weeks for the answer. Color me intrigued! Added to my Ebay, Amazon, and Discogs wantlists! Is the whole album up to the level of this cut? My fear would be that this cut is a standout outlier.
  14. Thanks, very impressive site. I ordered this and the Cherry/Appleton Flying Dutchman (with the other Appleton as a bonus).
  15. I'm a big fan of her music, have kept every leader date CD of hers I've ever come across. One of the few Maybeck Hall CD's I've kept.
  16. I guess I'll also want to compare it to this beautiful set, to see what is new material:
  17. I guess she had sort of a Forrest Gump-like quaility of being at the right place at the right time.
  18. Thanks Lon, this one sounds like a possible winner if audio is good.
  19. Correct. Craft continues and heightens Concord's disgusting money grab.
  20. Look forward to eventually catching the doc. Roach's Euro/Japanese 70's albums with Billy Harper desperately need CD issues. Would make a great Mosaic.
  21. I've almost always been disappointed by recordings at Ronnie Scott's, both sonically and musically.
