  4. Next Thursday I will attend Ornette Coleman Quartet´s performance at the Galapajazz (Galapagar, Madrid). Programación Festival Galapajazz http://www.harmolodic.com/ornette/frameset_now.html Has anybody seen them lately? Any impressions? Looks like this is a summer of "legends passing by" in Spain: Ornette Coleman & Herbie Hancock (Galapajazz), Sonny Rollins (Vitoria)...

  10. Can anyone shed any light on this? I too was mystified, and we can't rely on ABC/ESPN to get to the bottom of anything. I wasn't impressed with Ruud's replacement. Van Basten said he didn't like Van Nistelrooij's performances in the group games. According to Van Basten his positioning left a lot to be desired, and his finishing was quite poor; he said that there was "not enough football" in Van Nistelrooij's game. Now look at that Kuyt he put instead! (as we say here, "he wouldn´t score a goal to a rainbow")

  12. WTF has Van Basten done? Whatever happened between him and Van Nistelrooy, Ruud should have played!
  13. I guess what they mean is that they´ve been "un-launched" because no new CDs have been released for a few months, and their website hasn´t been updated.
  14. I´m worried ´bout that too!
  15. ... I´ve found this from an earlier issue (2002) of the DEMS Bulletin:
  16. Geeeez, I really like what I hear in those audio excerpts!!!

  19. Looks like this long-awaited relese is nearer... According to someone from Storyville Records, involved in this project, "The Duke to be released later this year after the relaunch of Storyville."
  20. Yes, these are limited editions, non-commercial CDs, only available by mail order. Try sending an email to this Swedish club (Carl A. Hallstrom is the contact): dooji@swipnet.se Hey, thanks much--sent an e-mail a couple of days ago, but have yet to hear anything. Does it generally take them some time to get back to people? David: I´ve never ordered anything from Dooji Records, but have asked at the dukelym list: supposedly that is the correct email and contact (Carl A. Hallstrom was, at a time, member of that mail list). But also someone told me that he had never got any reply from that mail. If I receive further information, I´ll keep you informed. Regards, Agustín
  21. Update on "A drum is a woman" (bad news): Someone at the dukelym list spoke to Scott Wenzel of Mosaic very recently, and he was told there are no plans to reissue it.
  22. Thanks a lot for your input, Ken. A few months ago I did some research on what´s available on CD from this piano master: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...&hl=eubie+blake Any additional help is much appreciated!
