I did the same thing with my pop's computer, and Ad-Aware 6 found 106 objects. Holy Crap! The system resource drain almost made the machine unusable.
I will second the rec for CWS shredder. That thing takes about seven seconds to run, and clears things up.
There was another entire set recorded in Tokyo at the same time [different night] as the other Live In Tokyo set was taped. I wonder if any of that will be in there? Another 4 or five tunes with Sam Reeeevers...
new:
Donald Byrd: Free Form
Donald Byrd: Live at the Half Note
Grant Green: Goin' West
Freddie Hubbard: Ready for Freddie
Jackie McLean: Right Now!
Duke Pearson: Sweet Honey Bee
wooo!
They put out a second pressing of it in the past year and a half or so.
I have had this record for years and haven't been able to get into it. Perhaps I should try again.
On a related note, I remeber reading a story years ago of a radio station in California that, for a period, played nothing but the 10 minute version of "I heard it through the Grapevine" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, over and over.
When I worked at a Scam Goody record store whilst between jobs for 6 months, I listened to Radiohead's Kid A every day, as my only other choices were a Shaggy album and Backstreet Boys, among other bits of drivel.
I have always dug the "Fantasias..." LP on Vanguard. Some of it feels like eclecticism for its own sake, but interesting. Especially in its historical context. The piece titled Blend is especially nice, with Billy Higgins. I might just have to throw this on tonight...
You ought to seek out Jim Luce, radio producer. At a recent public radio conference he handed me a copy of the Basie documentary he was working on. He would be a good source.
My new offer is unlimited 70% off. So I indulged:
Wes Montgomery - Incredible Jazz Guitar [sACD Hybrid]
Sonny Rollins - Tenor Madness [sACD Hybrid]
