  1. Steve Reid "rhythmatism" (mustevic, USA) Embryo "rock session" (brain metronome, Germany) some guy named Mal Waldron on keyboards
  2. Hum Dono on CD! Great...just preordered. This will suffice until I win the lottery and can buy a mint original LP
  3. Never HEARD of that one!!! MG Never HEARD of that one!!! MG I used to have this LP years ago but sold it because it did not really grab me much. I bought it because of Wheeler's presence but unfortunately the music struck me as rather so-so.
  4. Nice! It's a pretty uncompromising album that's for sure...have not played my copy in nearly 20 years!
  5. Some interesting choices. Fugazi was my first punk rock concert...it was the "repeater" tour and it was held in some basement with a back alley entrance...probably no more then 100-200 people and the cops tried to shut it down halfway through. Ian and Guy talked to the cops for a bit and the show went on...it was very punk rock haha. Also have fond memories of seeing Pavement on the "slanted" tour...their drummer Gary was outside the venue chatting with fans..he was a character for sure!
  6. True...the "future physical reissues" is just my guess/suspicion.
  7. On the Steve Hoffman forum somebody mentioned that the Apple license expires in 2015 so further "physical" reissues may be in the near future. I think I'll wait myself...
  8. Great! I'll tell my wife to take care of our newborn and toddler while I fly down for this...should be no problem
  9. I recall reading elsewhere either on this forum or on Steve Hoffman's forum that these Sun Ra titles on iTunes sound great as well. I have not checked it out myself as I'm decidedly still low-tech with my records and CDs but id be curious hear more about these. That said I have most of the Sun Ra I need on original vinyl but there are a few titles like "jazz in silhouette" that I only have on Evidence CD so that might be one for me to check out myself...
  10. That sucks.
  11. *groan*
  12. Wonder if it is legit and from the master tapes?
  13. Steve Lacy "the wire" (denon, Japan) enjoyed with the company of B. Clugston who came for a visit!
  14. Sidsel Endresen "so I write" (ECM, Germany)
  15. Got mine for $80 but it's mint with OBI...I got rid of my America issue ASAP for about $45..with full disclaimer that it's messed up soundwise!
  16. Marion Brown "Three for Shepp" (impulse, USA)
  17. Wolfgang Dauner "free action" (SABA, Germany)
  18. Thanks...glad to hear!
  19. Cool! Glad you snagged a copy...it's definitely a far superior issue.
  20. John Coltrane "Coltrane" (impulse, USA). One of my favorite Coltrane albums...every track is strong and the version of "soul eyes" is sublime.
  21. Yeah I sorta expected you to identify that Mengelberg track myself Clifford! But yeah...context and everything...
  22. There's always next October
  23. It's a small dying audience and many people unfortunately download their music illegally...
