  1. Such a bummer. Last time Randy and I saw him was at the Detroit International Jazz Festival in 2007 after our set. He loved it and was very complimentary. He was always gracious and very kind to me.
  2. Peter Gabriel era Genesis... where to start... hmmmm. They only made 7 albums with him, you know. I was just listening to "Wind & Wuthering" and "And Then There Were Three..." yesterday. Great fucking records and sans Peter (and the latter sans Hackett). I love Gabriel, though. "Selling England By The Pound" is probably a good start or "Foxtrot". I really like "Trespass" just because it's so pastoral and you can hear them finding their way. I like "Nursery Crime" too because it's really dark and atmospheric. The thing I really love about Genesis is that each album is quite different from the last, though there are little strands connecting them together. Speaking of "And Then There Were Three...", the fade-out on "Say It's All Right, Joe" seemed like something that might be on "Selling England By The Pound" for a bit.
  3. Ya think? They are terrible. Dumars killed the team by trading Billups. I understand why he did it, but it was a still a bonehead move, imo.
  4. I haven't had a good breakfast in awhile. Boo.
  5. Root Doctor, the band I play in, got it's name from that song and it's featured on our CD "Change Our Ways". But we do the version by Otis Clay. I've never heard the original version from that record, but I've seen that cover before. Funny shit.
  6. If your moles are actually talking to you, you might want to consider getting them removed.
  7. Then you should've given it to your gracious host...
  8. The CD sounds nice, that's all I know.
  9. Sorry to hear about this, Tom. My condolences to his family and you.
  10. We had a good time. The best part of the Jammies is the opportunity to see the other bands in the area. So much talent around here. Thanks for taking notice.

  12. I can't describe how happy I am that a label is finally capturing the Dr. on record the way he deserves to be captured. I'll be picking this one up for sure.
  13. Now he's Tommy Hammersticks.
  14. They actually bought organissimo CDs from me a few months ago. I was excited about the royalty possibilities.
  15. That show is show dangerous. I watch it late at night and I get soooooo frickin' hungry. Some of those joints are just out of sight.
  16. Do you wrap it in bacon? I saw that on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Meatloaf wrapped in bacon. I tried it and it was pretty damn good, although it took much longer to cook than normal.
  17. Happy Birthday, Bruce! I hope you have a good one!
  18. That was really funny.
  19. Stella approves. She says, "Mmmmm.... taste like free jazz."
  20. Just out of the oven: Chicken and black olive pizza with pine nuts and fresh basil. Homemade crust. I need a good recipe for homemade pizza sauce, though. My sauce is okay, but not fantastic.
  21. Doesn't sound so bad to me, depending on what the site entails. The hosting fee seems a bit much, unless the server needs are beyond your typical website (like this site, which demands it's own server that costs $150 a month). My wife worked for a local business that designed websites and they would charge as much as $10k for some projects. Then again, the sites had lots of fancy features like Flash, video, audio, etc. and they included logo design with that.
