  1. Heard the last part of this on the way home from the gig tonight on WBLV. Great show!
  2. There's another documentary about the B3 in the works called Killer B3, although I can't really find any information on it besides this clip on YouTube, which was supposedly shot for the film.
  3. GregN occassionally posts on one run by fellow organissimo member Tom 1960. It's called the Blindman Blues Forum. Don't know much about it, but Tom's a good guy.
  4. Kurt Rosenwinkle, Ben Monder, my brother Joe Gloss... just a quick list off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of.
  5. Sonny Stitt - New York Jazz (click to buy) Haven't heard it, but for some reason when you click on our disc at CDUniverse, this one is always "Customers Who Bought This Also Bought:" heading. But I loves me Sonny Stitt!
  6. Just got my confirmation of shipment for my second order (#6122, placed July 25th) and I'm getting everything but the aforementioned Eric Dolphy 5 Spot title. COol!
  7. Wow. That's terrible. My condolences to the family. Damn.
  8. That reminds me of the old Seinfeld bit: About how back in the day, before free-agency, you could root for your favorite team, and year after year it would be the same guys. Now the rosters change so much, that you have to resign yourself to cheer on whomever happens to be wearing your team's uniform this year. So, essentially we're rooting for laundry! That is true. And funny.
  9. I just answered the questions in the most obvious manner in order to guarantee that I'd be Ben Wallace.
  10. There's not too many of them in Michigan and I welcome the sound. It signifies that summer is coming to a close and my favorite season, fall, is right around the corner. When I was a kid, living in the country, my siblings and I used to round up as many of the skins as we could find and then take them to the sandbox, whereupon an epic battle between GI Joe figures and the evil giant alien bugs would play out day after day. I used to see those wasps, too. They are BIG!
  11. Why don't you start one? You can just dub CD-Rs for everyone.
  12. Finally finished the root canal yesterday. It took three visits, since this tooth was particularily bad and had multiple "anatomical anomaly's" as the dentist put it. No pain, so that's good. I have a couple small fillings that need to be done, but otherwise everything is in good shape. On the plus side, I sold my dentist a Root Doctor CD!
  13. No. Unlike you I'm not a fair-weather fan who follows a single guy around the league rather than a team. ZING!!!
  14. I'm Ben Wallace, y'all!
  15. Doesn't the word "bossa" just mean rhythm or beat? So Soul Bossa might not have anything to do with Bossa Nova (which I always read was translated as "new beat") but is just using the word "bossa" the way people use the word "rhythm"?
  16. That's the censored version made for public TV. Here is the original NASA tape: http://www.blogjam.com/neil_armstrong/ LOL. Hadn't seen that in awhile. Still very funny.
  17. Yes, I made the mistake of giving to them once and now they won't leave us alone, even though we repeatedly have told them on the phone that we will not give them anything and to remove us from our list. Going to their website and filling out the "do not call" form will probably lead to more calls and selling your name to other companies. I've read reports about these types of operations. Many are illegal, have nothing to do with the "charity" they claim to represent, and when they are found out, pack up, and move to another city to start again.
  18. Caption to the picture: "I told them young whippersnappers those 'puters were THE DEVIL'S WORK!"
  19. Fuckers call me almost everyday. I never pick up.
  20. I don't have this one, but this was reported on an AAJ thread. How many times can you run a 50+ year old tape through a machine and expect it to be fine? Sounds like they finally hit the limit.
  21. How many vinyl copies can be made from one stamper?
  22. Oopsie! I'll fix that soon. Thanks for the heads-up.
  23. Don't sweat it. My wife didn't even know what jazz was... she thought it was Kenny G. She had no idea what a Hammond organ was (which is my life, basically). Love overcomes all that. I was shocked when I accidentally ordered two copies of Cannonball's album with Bill Evans from that big Concord sale and she said, "Oh, I'll just take the extra one to work. I like Cannonball." Being condescending about it doesn't do any good. If she said, "Oh yes, I love jazz. Kenny G is great." I would say, "Well, he's not really my kinda jazz. I prefer this..." and throw on some Stanley T!
  24. I hope you enjoy them and thank you! Please let us know what you think.
