I'm always reluctant to give information on a place I haven't been in two years or maybe three. But no one else seems to be offering anything up, so, for what it's worth...
There's a place called "The Great Escape" that I think is linked up to the place of same name in Nashville (IIRC). May have just been my frame of mind, but I split after about 38 seconds. They had vinyl, but i think there was something musty about the smell of the place giving me a headache. Or the heebie jeebies.
Ear-xTacy is a pretty all-purpose store. Buy, Trade, Sell. LP, CD, DVD, Games... You know the kind of place. When I was there, they were doing some kind of pop (not in a bad way) concert.
I've got a CD with a price tag from Underground Sounds. That's all I recall of that place. Ok CD. One of the last I bought.
Half Price Books has a local outlet. And CD Warehouse, if it ain't gone belly-up like most of 'em
I could swear there was a place called something like "Blue Note Records". I'll betcha five bucks I could breadcrumb my way back to the spot. But that name ain't right, or it ain't in the phone book. Maybe you'll see something with a trademark-infringing name and that'll be it. They had a bunch of vinyl, but they didn't keep to their posted hours. And a lot of the vinyl was sitting in a sunny window spot.
This place was cool, but gone now.
I'll try to post a bit more later.
