  1. You've got mail!
  2. Right now, I think the Cards are the best team in baseball, they're strong everywhere and deep. Unless they tail off terribly or have some injuries, to my mind they are the favorites to go all the way.
  3. Chaney, Although you were scammed, maybe this will bring you some good Karma in the future . Mark
  4. I just saw Anthony two days ago with Benny Wallace. They did a tribute to Coleman Hawkins at the Chicago Jazz Fest on Saturday. Very nice show!! I'll post a photograph of two in a couple days! Mark
  5. I sent one to them last year but I assume it got lost in the stack. If you could put it into his hands that would be awesome. PM me your address and I'll send one out. PM sent! I'll give it to David personally! Mark

  7. These guys are juiced, but you still have to hit the ball. There is some skill involved and you have to keep in shape. See what happened to Big Mac. What did happen to Mac??? I believe he had knee and feet problems, probably not due to him not taking care of himself. Mark
  8. I might have an extra one of these. (That, or else I gave it to Spontoonious -- can't remember which.) I'll look and/or check with him, and get back to you about it next week. Found my copy of "I Don't Care Who Knows It', and sent you a PM about it. Would be happy to trade it to you, or sell it outright. Rooster, Sent you a reply (PM)! Mark
  9. Claypone, I sent you a PM. Thanks, Mark
  10. Count me in, I can't get enough Miles!
  11. ....and I believe Haagen Dazs is actually an American company (not that it matters ). I did not mean to imply that Häagen Dazs is in any way Danish. It is an American product which, when it was launched, was marketed as "the real Danish ice cream" and featured a map of Denmark ion the advertisements. Denmark called it false advertising (which it was) and filed a complaint, so Häagen Dazs (which sounded Danish to the guy who came up with it, but fooled no Dane) became "the real ice cream." Like I said, it is good, but the rich, creamy stuff I grew up with is better. Chris, I knew what you meant. I think if you ask most people in America where it comes from, they wouldn't think America (by the name). I know I didn't!!
  12. Pretty cool site David, I'll check it out often! Very moody photograph of you in the studio!!! Mark

  20. John's a business owner out in San Francisco. I'm good friends with Jim; John stops in Chicago from time to time to visit. Very friendly guy, never comes across as a guy who thinks he's "all that!", just digs the music and had a chance to play with some of the "heavies" (not referring to the Pointer Sisters ) Even when I say "wow" to some of the guys he's played with, it seems like no big deal to him but I'm sure it was a buzz back in the day! Mark
  21. Chuck, By chance did you see Coltrane when John Neumann (Jim's brother) sat in on Bass? I met John several months ago and he told me he sat in with Coltrane at the Plugged Nickel for a bit; also played with Chet Baker for a while. I'll see if I can get more details from John but pretty cool B-) I would say! Mark
