The Legacy edition of Santana's first album is killer. Contains the original album remastered, plus another earlier version of the the first album with extra tracks that was deemed too "jammy" to be released. If that's not enough you also get their complete performance at Woodstock. A really fine document of this early incarnation of the band.
Really like the title track. A deceptively simple solo, one of Grant's finest "less is more" moments.
On a side note.... Is it just me or is there way too much reverb on the title track? At times it sounds like a 747 is talking off!
Honestly, I think every song on that LP is classic. EVERY one....(and yes, one cylander is a standout, which Lonnie Smith revives on his latest CD "Too Damn Hot.")
"Too Damn Hot" is one of the best jazz releases of 2004.
It's probably my favorite release from last year. Primo guitar on this one by the likes of Peter Bernstein and Rodney Jones (rhythm only). What's not to like?
I have a fairly nice 5.1 surround setup and I've enjoyed it for a number of years. But lately I find that I rarely use it. I'm going to dismantle it and start more or less from scratch building a really nice 2-channel system. My interest has waned in surround sound and hi-Rez. formats. At this point I'm all about maximizing CD sound and having a good analog rig.
My entire second order which included titles by Muddy Waters, Son House, Gram Parsons, and Rory Gallagher is on back order. So far 1 for 2. I may just put in another jazz related order and see what happens. Weird. Can't complain about the price though.
Got my "Seven Steps Box" and "Translinear Light" CD last night. No problem at all, and a 5 day turnaround to boot. Put in another order last night including titles from Muddy Waters, Son House, Rory Gallagher, and Gram Parsons.
Besides balanced inputs and outputs...
Check the link below for a comparision of the two models.

P.S. I have owned 830 BurnIT model for a number of years. Never a problem.
