  1. Hmm. Not my cup of tea, so I can't really help. Sounds almost Spanish to me (the guitar work I mean, not the vocals!).
  2. Mrs. Moose put her hooves down; we're using professional movers. I, on the other hand, have held out for a half acre lot rather than the miniscule plot she wanted. You have to pick your battles...
  3. Same problem as above: Import only Greetz, Sonny ← Is this a problem? I found mine on eBay a few years back, super cheap. Is this hard to find now?
  4. Looks like they found another name for it as well: Get the Message
  5. I'm partial to the May 13, 1961 2 CD set myself.
  6. That's the part of this that I'm not looking forward to at all...
  7. I can't believe anyone would bid on this stuff. Anyone who would be interested in acquiring a collection like this odds are has already been collecting for years, and it seems to be too high for a reseller to be willing to wrap up the money. Looks like a "See what I got?" auction to me...
  8. Just for my what??? Oops! Sorry; my mistake...
  9. The last two episodes are what really make that series. There are several good episodes on the way to the last two, as well as a few sleepers. Overall, I think Danger Man was a better series. But I don't think I have a lot of company in that respect. ← Interesting. I loved the series, except for the last episode.
  10. Yeah, I was pretty disappointed at first as well, but it worked out okay...
  11. ...which would make the roll of the father one prime part!
  12. I'm not into French mirrors. I think they're overpriced and reflect badly on their...oh; I get it-nevermind...
  13. Who needs sales when all you have to do is put stuff on "Running Low" and notify someone on the Organissimo Jazz Forums?
  14. I have (and like) both, but it's Anita for me, by a mile!
  15. I'm not a fan of Buddy Rich, and don't really enjoy his work with others. On the other hand, I love his drum solos. And I normally hate drum solos. Most drum solos leave me bored; his leave me slackjawed and sweating. I guess this is one of those "mixed emotion" things...
  16. I thought a flautist was a Mexican cook...
  17. I hope she doesn't try to lip sync the whole thing. ← I just hope she doesn't blame the band and get Jim Sangrey started again!
  18. I dunno. In my case, hiding behind a handle isn't very effective, since my handle is also my website ("unbuilt" as it were) and anyone could easily find not only my name, but also my address. Hmmm....come to think of it, maybe this website idea wasn't very good. Guess I'd better refrain from abusing Chris... edited to add... By the way, Chris; while I have disagreed with you in the past on this issue, I do see your point. Even if there is no intention of doing so, one can get carried away, and I know that's easier to do under "jazzmoose" than "Mark Combs". Er...I mean "Mark Smith". Yeah; that's it...
  19. I love it and think it's Hargrove's best by far.
  20. Yeah, it's good. So's the "Swings Cole Porter with Billy May". So's pretty much everything on the Mosaic. It's her prime period. But if you aren't going to get the Mosaic, grab a few of the Verves!
  21. I got that buckle courtesy of Mr. Roy Eldridge, so I'll wear it 'til I drop. ← Is anyone else finding their brains full of one liners involving "little jazz" about right now...?
  22. Leo Sayer Howlin' Wolf Isaac Singer
