  1. I agree! I fear for our sanity!!! Er...for those of us who still retain it, that is...
  2. Well, if you go by the old southern "one drop of blood" bit, I'm Black. On the other hand, appearance wise, I make a Scandinavian like Chris look African. (Okay, maybe that's a bit extreme!) Plus I was raised with no knowledge that my great-great grandfather was the black sheep of the family in more ways than one. You tell me what I am; I haven't a clue. On the other hand, I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape when this question is asked. Perhaps those screaming 'racism' should look within once in a while...
  3. Just sounds like a poke at the old Tom Robbins book to me...
  4. I'm thinking I'd have never made it out of sixth grade with my 'do it yourself coffin kits'. Hell, the other kids loved 'em, but I can imagine the reaction from today's educational system. Still, conformity does seem to be one of the goals of education...
  5. I for one like Whistlestop and The Three Sounds. Hell, I even like Unit Structures!
  6. I've been in my new house for over three months now but I still have all deliveries made to the office. For a couple of reasons: 1) security - I have far fewer concerns now that I have my own place, but there is still a degree of risk with something sitting outside all day 2) I am at the office during the day when the delivery is made and can play whatever I get right out of the box. No waiting until the end of the day. You forgot 3) I have time to plan exactly how I'm going to get this latest Mosaic box onto the shelves before the wife realizes it's here, reducing the chance of her noticing I've bought another one...
  7. I'm surprised it took that long in this thread for this one to come up. I assumed this was the universal choice...
  8. Over half of the responders have more music than I do! Wait a minute; Barb's gotta see this... Oh never mind; it won't help.
  9. Now remember boys, working out your frustrations and anger are a waste of time. You'd be better off just knifing the classmate...
  10. Jeez, Greg; you're living with a two year old in the house??? I apologize for every mean thing I've said to you...
  11. It was easier just to quote Pryan than to type it up myself...
  12. I played something called Scoresheet Baseball back when I was a baseball fanatic which is a lot like Fantasy Baseball, except the stats are run through a game simulation to create games, with a season, pitching change and pinch hit decisions, etc. It was a lot of fun, but a bit of work. Plus it was a large enough league that you had to know all of the rosters rather than just the stars or even just the starters. Looking back now, I don't know how I had the time. Oh yeah; I was single...
  13. Hey, this is cool...I was gonna track down last year's music BECAUSE WE'RE FINALLY GETTING DSL NEXT WEEK!!!! but now I don't have to....this'll be the first spot I head once it's on!
  14. But what do you say if I slip in the 8-track of K-Tel's FREEDOM ROCK? DUDE!
  15. I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords...
  16. What can you say? Turn it down comes to mind...
  17. It just so happens that someone who works there frequents my "other" home on the web (www.wheresgeorge.com) so I can tell you that it is still in business. I think it's called The Lucky Lady, but I'm going by memory there. I haven't been in a strip club since I was 22; they were already depressing places to me at that age, I can't imagine what it would be like now...
  18. I'll admit the movie suffers from the typical biopic problems, but it's worth going through that just to see Jamie Foxx act in this one. He is absolutely amazing.
  19. I love Metheney's playing; I don't "get" this thread!
  20. I'm certainly not. Who is he? On the other hand, Tuesday Weld I remember! Ahem. Excuse me...
  21. Well...I watch Ed Wood movies, too, but I don't confuse them with the good stuff, you know?
  22. Hey, the Crouch liner notes are worth the price of omission! Wait...did I say that right?
  23. Are you talking about the Interplay disc? I love that! (And if anyone's curious, I happen to have a CDR of it available; just PM me...)
  24. Oh, yeah...frequently!!
