Um. I'm sure this will draw a negative response from some, particularly as we have an overlap in posters, but aside from how tacky it sounds to me, asking for donations so he can make a buck, comparing a for-profit endeavor to public radio is goofy as hell.

I haven't seen his new signature, Al, but I have to go along with you in wishing politics were kept out of signatures. And avatars. And nonpolitical threads for that matter. Yeah, I know I could turn those features off, but it irks me that I have to consider that just because people won't leave the politics in the political forum where it belongs.

Well, if we get into past tense, I once had a killer comic book collection. About 1500 DCs, ranging from 1936 to 1961. Superman ranging from 7 up, complete from 83 thru 149, complete runs of Congo Bill, New Adventures of Charlie Chan, near complete runs of Gangbusters, Mystery in Space, the early silver age Atoms, Green Lanterns, Flashs, etc. (never did score a Showcase 4 or 8, though...), shit..I could go on for a while. And no, I do NOT want to see a current Overstreet Price Guide, thank you very much.

Hmmm...maybe it wasn't misfiled! Anyway, the box finally arrived about 15 minutes ago. The wife will be home any minute now, so I'm not going to try to listen to any of it at this point. But as I look at this stuff on my desk, all my mind can say is "what are you doing with this stuff, you dork! This should go to a real Ayler fan, not some neophyte like you! You better not get caught with this stuff; you don't deserve it!"
