Huh? If the first pressings "consistently sound better than later ones", how can there be any confusion over which ones are the first pressings? And if don't think the collectors market in any collecting field isn't affected by whether or not an item is the first issue or not, well...

If I remember correctly, and odds are against it, the whole group was based originally on the sixties Charlton superheroes. It's been far too long since I've read the book, but I distinctly remember the owl-guy (can't even remember his name!) was based on the Blue Beetle, the hardcore military guy on Sarge Steel or whatever. Man, I can tell it's been years since I was into comics!

Perhaps the Funny Rat should be made a forum? I know this: I've spent more time reading that thread than any of the other stuff in Recommendations/New Issues/Reissues. Maybe not combined, but it's probably close. I like the stuff being all on one thread myself, because it's easy to find and easy to learn from. And believe it or not, that's still why I'm here.
