  1. The suit has been dismissed. According to this article in the New York Times, Judge Dismisses Case Against Universal Music Over Losses in 2008 Fire, the only remaining plaintiff was Tom Petty’s ex-wife. It sounds like the case was dismissed because she didn’t have standing to bring the suit since Universal owned the masters to Tom Petty’s recordings.
  2. Angry Fans Say First the Concerts Were Canceled, Then the Refunds “Ticket vendors are being criticized for treating the thousands of live events that were called off as postponements, on which some do not offer refunds.”
  3. A nice photo.
  4. Cortisone is an anti inflammatory and anti inflammatories, particularly NSAIDs (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) are thought to exacerbate the effects of the virus. I have avoided all pain relievers other than Tylenol.
  5. John, thanks very much.
  6. My sister just called me. My cousin Micky, who was my Mother’s first cousin, passed away from the Coronavirus; I’d guess she was around 90 and they lived in Long Island. Unfortunately, her husband Bruce, who has a great sense of humor, is showing signs of the disease . The only person now left from that generation is her sister who now lives in Arizona.
  7. I generally agree with Jim; not doing anything different than before: doing that gives me a sense of normalcy. As an aside, I went on online to look at some John Prine music and noticed that a lot of things are sold out and on “back order,” plus I see people on eBay jacking up prices to take advantage; not surprising. Usual commentaries on greed, etc.
  8. Definition from Merriam Webster: Definition of dandily : in the style or manner of a dandy. From the Free Dictionary: 1. Suggestive of or attired like a dandy; foppish. 2. Fine; good. [Perhaps short for jack-a-dandy, fop.]
  9. One of the large wine stores in our area has pickup only; you order through their website, they let you know when it’s ready, you call them when you get there and they load it into your car. When I picked up last week, there were a few other cars waiting too.
  10. From the Washington Post: The Daily 202: John Prine is the latest great musician killed by the coronavirus
  11. Looks like I was wrong. The two restaurants we use for takeout have been closed since mid March. Bummer. I think the Chinese food store, which is about 35 minutes from here, may be open.
  12. I’d like to hear their reason for not paying any rent. I’d be curious if they’re relying on the force majeure clause in the lease. Force majeure clauses are a hot topic right now.
  13. The one pictured hasn’t caught many but we don’t know what he does with them because if he sees us with a kill he runs away. The other cat, Harold, caught a lot of little mice in his time. He would rip the head off the poor things and eat part of them and then leave the remainder for us to clean up. He once bought a live baby mouse into the house. It escaped and disappeared for a day. It resurfaced the next day and we were able to catch it and return it to the wild.
  14. The new 15 cd box of June 76 is out for those who may be interested. https://store.dead.net/special-edition-shops/june-1976/june-1976-15cd-boxed-set-1.html
  15. He isn’t as bad as one of our other cats, who is a real killer but is in retirement now. Cats are a real danger to small outside wildlife

  18. A growing toll. Another voice sadly stilled. RIP.
  19. NY is not a good place to live in.
  20. Watched “Yesterday” this morning. Very enjoyable. A world without Beatles music is a very strange world indeed.

    Bob Dylan corner

I haven’t listened to Nashville Skyline in years, probably since I lived in Nashville in the mid 70s, but it did have some wonderful songs, as I remember. I don’t even have the album anymore. Can’t say I’m the biggest Dylan fan though, although I do have a couple of his early albums.
  22. Perhaps it was a low budget release; some of those releases don’t provide much information other than song information.
