Whole batch of Mosaic Selects and Singles running low
Brad replied to miles65's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
I think you can basically say that about most Mosaic boxes. -
An impressive victory by Simona Halep. Serena never seemed to be able to get untracked and just when it looked like she might be getting back into the match, Halep broke her. Too many unforced errors today. Tomorrow's match could be a marathon. I think Federer might have another title in him.

I don’t think we know enough to know what the situation is. I’m certainly not going to ask for a refund until we know more.

This is a very odd Hungarian movie about a young woman who supposedly stumbles into a plot in 1913 to start WWI. My son made me rent this and then he decided he changed his mind so not wanting to throw the $6 away I watched it. I never read the book or saw the 1989 version so I thought it was good and gripping in its later stages. Maybe that's more a testimonial to Stephen King than the movie.

I just caught up on the latest details and as someone said here, it's a sad situation, no matter how you look at it. It's a cliche but it's no fun getting old. Regarding the statement put out by KB, it sounds as if it was written by a lawyer. In case anyone asks why I think it was written by an attorney, I just have a feeling it was. Like Dmitry, I'm starting to question whether I should have made a donation. As he said, live and learn.

The one about Robert Moses is a classic. In fact, it’s assigned reading in college classes, from what I understand. His most recent book is Working. It’s very short but gives you a flavor of his books. It’s well worth reading.

I’m not sure he’s a Hall of Famer but he’s had a long and distinguished career. I’m sure it would help his candidacy if he went out with a championship. -
I had forgotten that it was on Cinerama or something like that. I saw it when I lived in Barcelona and it made a big impression on me. My heroes were people like Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill. They were cool, driving those race cars. A year later, they held the Grand Prix of Barcelona, which I attended. It wasn't Formula 1 but Formula 2 but still good enough for me. I took some photos with my Brownie camera, which I will try to post later tonight.

The Caro books are an uundertaking no doubt. The best one is the first one. He received criticism for the second one because he painted LBJ's Senate candidate in somewhat glowing terms and in the third one, he gives much attention to Richard Russell. Nonetheless, they are great books.

I tried reading the Sound and the Fury a year ago and gave up. I will have to give it a try again.

I saw it when it first came out. I used to be a Formula i racing fan at the time. I then saw it a few years ago when TCM was running their Days of Oscar and thought it was still great.

They seemed to play well in the first half but less so in the second. I suppose Mexican pressure had something to do with that. Going back to the Copa America for a second, I didn't really understand what Peru was doing after they had a man advantage. At times, it seemed that all Peru wanted to do was knock down people. -

I can’t say the first two matches on Sunday were overly exciting. The US was bound to win and Peru was lucky to be there. The evening match was interesting for awhile but ultimately disappointing.
