  1. I didn’t remember this but the liner notes say the cover was censored because it showed a toilet. That seems strange to me. I mean, what’s bad about a toilet. Different times.
  2. That's a long day.
  3. Are you overseas or traveling from one end of Canada to the other.
  4. Maybe Soulpope’s island has a generator
  5. I’m finding this to be a great station. Lots of interesting music. Think I may make a contribution.
  6. Blast from the past. I was living in Spain when this came out and someone brought this as a gift for me from the US. Loved it as did all my friends. A girl I knew asked if she could borrow it and I said yes. Never saw it again. I found out that it traveled all across Europe as it was lent from hand to hand. This might be the first time I listened to the album since then.
  7. From Rolling Stone: “Rolling Stone’s film critic remembers the kindhearted countercultural rebel that came from showbiz royalty and rode off into sunset his way” Travers: Peter Fonda, The Easiest Rider of Them All
  8. I thought about posting that. 😆
  9. I have to think the prices may settle down once this anniversary is over and people control their impulses.
  10. The Airplane from XPN’s “Woodstock as it Happened” “Alright friends, you have seen the heavy groups, now you will see morning maniac music, believe me, yeah… It’s the new dawn.” What a way to bring in the day. Yeah Grace!
  11. Quite a haul for $75. Congrats.
  12. The only thing I’ve heard of hers is Social Call, which was nicely done.
  13. Talk about eBay craziness, the 38cd box sold for a shade under $3,000 tonight
  14. Post of the day!
  15. An icon of our generation has gone. RIP.
  16. Article in Rolling Stone: Hear John Coltrane’s Previously Unreleased ‘Blue World’ From 1964 Soundtrack Session
  17. Disc 3 yesterday. The Santana set was electrifying. Unfortunately, my memory fails me as to my reaction when I heard their first record.
  18. When I lived in Barcelona in the mid 60s, August turned Barcelona and the beach areas into Little Germany.
  19. Forgot to add that I too have tinnitus (not due to loud listening though) and, in addition, my hearing is not the greatest anymore. Hearing aids can help with that. They make kinds that are both unobtrusive and generally comfortable. At any rate, I don’t worry about buying the best sounding CDs anymore. Like Bresna and probably others, I do a lot of listening in my car.
  20. Don’t think so. I remember Germany taking the month off, not to mention I’ve been trying to get ahold of a client in Munich for a couple of weeks and not one email has been returned.
  21. That has been my experience too. If you want or need something done from somebody in Europe, it ain’t gonna happen in August, this year or any year!
  22. A couple of points: if you don’t listen to them anymore, just get rid of them the quickest way possible. Less aggravation. I know some forum members have some good ideas but sometimes you just want to be rid of them. I’d make an exception for Japanese CDs but there is also a lot of them online now so the price you receive may not be as it was several years ago.
