  1. The Tour kicks off today. I look forward to this every year. It kicks off with time trials in Düsseldorf. As in past years, I'm pulling for Nairo Quintana from Colombia.
  2. Disc 1. Purchased this on eBay. Not sure why I let this one pass when it was current.
  3. I once caught some of the senior tour on TV. I thought it was pretty enjoyable.
  4. Oops, got that wrong. Looks like Venus could be in trouble as The NY Times story cites a report from the Palm Beach Garden Police that she was at fault (although according to the story she has not been charged).
  5. Serena has other pressing issues; she was involved in a fatal automobile accident.
  6. However you cut it or dissect it, jazz listening/collecting is a graying market. You can't get away from that. Scott put it best. Jazz is by no means unique. Other hobbies are having the same problems. A few years ago I tried to sell my stamp collection. The dealer said you have nice stuff but I can't pay you much. He said the hobby had shrunk and those who were in it were very picky. If we could get kids interested in the hobby, your collection would fetch a nice premium. We finished our conversation by his saying "no kids! We need the kids."
  7. I don't know if their work is done because if they felt that way, then they'd close their doors. However, the era of the cd appears to be on the decline and the Jazz collector is graying. I'm not sure they're replacing us with newer blood, although I'm happy to be proven wrong.
  8. Brought on by himself. His one mantra was the freakin' triangle.
  9. Thank you and Rest In Peace.
  10. CH, I see what you're talking about with the drop down menu but the amount of products or sets they have (or have had, when times were better) is not that much or any challenge to a potential customer browsing their offerings.
  11. Adios to Phil Jackson. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  12. Looking at the Gazette last night, I saw no incorrect or broken links and if suggestions are to be made why not contact Mosaic directly.
  13. RIP Anthony Young, a former Met, who died too young from a brain tumor. For those who have never heard of him, he lost 27 games in a row between 1992 and 1993 but bore it stoically and with grace and humor. He was only 51. Well known to Mets fans.
  14. The Wilson will be coming out next year and something this year wouldn't surprise me.
  15. The set also sounds fine to me and I've listened to almost all of it.
  16. Yes, it does. My brother-in-law, who was only 57, died last year from lung cancer and he wasn't a smoker. He bore it stoically and seldom complained.
  17. I listened to some of Morelenbaum's songs on YouTube. Quite nice.
  18. Well, the Teddy Wilson is coming out early next year so that doesn't sound like they're closing their doors.
  19. Unless your wife puts you to work!
  20. The issue on some sets was that Mosaic had an overwhelming response to their notice that they might be going out of business and demand outstripped supply, especially boxes, not to mention that they don't have enough personnel to ship a set as they used to have.
