Wearing masks in warm weather, especially tight, confined areas, is not particularly easy so anything that brings many people together in arenas or outdoor areas ain’t a great idea.
I have no objection to the 2B idea during the pandemic era provided it doesn’t becomes permanent. Baseball, unlike football, has no experience or rules governing tie games so I’m sure that was considered and rejected. Rule changes (within reason) that lessens lengths of games in this era should be encouraged. The 2B idea seems similar to the college football idea of starting at the opponent’s 20 or 25 yard line in overtime games.
