  1. Dare I say, carefully, even more serious?
  2. Skinny legs and all?
  3. Well hell, Bill, you either know the record or else you took the hint from inside sprawl on the Tony Williams record...and my money's on you knowing the record. That will very much be a matter of individual taste.

  5. The Mosaic Splatter!
  6. What color would a Mosaic LP be? Black? Or white?
  7. That's a damn good record.
  8. Will add RIP when formally confirmed, but sure sorry to hear this...He was one of the young players of his time who seemed hellbent on having a band, and a good band, AND one that was not retro. Reach sometimes exceeded grasp, but I was always wanting to here where he was going next. Then, I guess, "personal problems"...but then a comeback. Strong, assertive player every step of the way, god bless him and his spirit. Best records of the 80s gotta have this one:
  9. Ok, see, I had NO idea that this was going to be some kind of "Marvel Universe"...I really have neither the time nor the interest for that type of thing. But - the story as it is being told, explains enough of the back story to the point that I don't feel the need to go all retro-geeky, it's fine just as it is. The 30+ minute episode length is perfect, they get a lot in, in that tight time frame. And as it turns out, it's wonderfully inventive and entertaining show, entirely on its own terms, I'm in!
  10. Vince Montana was not involved in but one of these selections, but the exhortation directed at him during that one cut captures a major part the spirit of what I hope this BFT carries with it!
  11. Quite! That was not the plan at the outset, but I found it really easy to drop stuff from the original compilation sessions. So yeah!
  12. Our Thing used to be a bear to find on LP (I had to get mine in a barter with a radio station, that's how impossible it was to find out in the streets). The others were always there. Even allowing for OG vinyl/label wonkery, those prices seem off to me on a purely objective basis.
  13. Hans Groiner is real too. All this shit is real.
  14. It's already March 1 in some parts of the world, and I gotta go to bed. So, here we go: http://thomkeith.net/index.php/blindfold-tests/ Do what Tony say:
  15. There is nothing in any of that that I have not seen or heard in real life, especially the part about getting paid in about six weeks.
  16. Bergonzi should not have surprised me!
  17. I don't know man, that thing about getting paid in about 6 weeks, that sounds pretty real-life to me. Are you SURE this isn't real?
  18. "We'll get you paid in about six weeks..." Are you SURE this is comedy?
  19. This too is the past: My daughter is a big J-Pop fan, and I perked up the ears when I hear Perfume mentioned. They have one song (!) that I will love forever, and if you to love (REALLY love, not just like) the Astrud Gilberto/Walter Wanderly record and wonder what a post-Space Age incarnation of that ethos would sound like, then this athe new record for you to also LOVE! Otherwise, I love it when people pay attention and actually pay attention to the details. Video game music is not just for jazz either. This, and things like it, have been going on for at least a decade: https://www.ffdistantworlds.com/ Final Fantasy musics played by real orchestras.
  20. But you don't. If you don't believe me look at your watch, look at your calendar, look at your phone, what time is it? What date is it? Are the Dodgers still in Brooklyn? Are the rabbit ears still working? Is Jimmy Durante hosting the Hollywood Palace this Saturday night? What time is it!
  21. Nock has been in Australia for some time now
