Thanks. I listened to a brief clip of the Puig and it's not the type of thing I'm into these days. I like the Percussions de Strasbourg a lot, so will look out for the Philips. I hadn't heard of the Acting Trio or Mariétan/GERM, either. MEV is a mixed bag for me (I have the New World box set), will look for some clips. The Spacecraft connection should be a plus IMO.

I was unable to access the forum at all for over 24 hours (Bing and Chrome browsers). Just now tried and succeeded (Chrome).

The latest BYG/Actuel Solid CD reissues show as available for 3/24 preorder at DG. I couldn't find them at CDjapan (but hope they will appear).

I don't really follow hoops, but was shocked at the big trade: Dallas basically traded L. Dončić to Lakers for A. Davis.

Cutting down on pricey imports, but this includes Togashi and Satoh and sounded excellent on Youtube.

RIP. Very sad indeed, I "discovered" her music just a few months ago and have listened to a fair amount on bandcamp.

Darn! I finally signed up for Prime a couple of months ago, but out of habit I didn't check Amazon pricing on this. Oh well, lesson learned. 😞

Just ordered this from "the Bastards". Although I'm not familiar with the prior release, the lineup is self-recommending. I'm not so fond of some of Surman's more "ECMish" releases, but brief audition on Bandcamp was sufficient to reassure me on that front. 😉

This is a great album, my favorite by Ike. Even though it's two distinct sessions which aren't very similar.

Thanks for this info. This involves some work for me. 😁 How many of these do I want? If just a few, Dusty Groove is cheaper net of shipping; if above a certain number (which requires calculation and navigating the clunky CDjapan website), CDjapan winds up cheaper.

My subscription just expired (long story), so I can't access the article any more. Opening the link in an "incognito"/"In Private"/etc. window/tab often works, so you could try that.

I once went to the Jazz Gallery at its original location (290 Hudson St.). It was a Frederic Rzewski solo piano concert.

I probably won't get it, since the rock/fusion doesn't really appeal, but will do some research before deciding.
