Those (like me 🤪) who cling to the dying CD are gonna have to get used to the DL->CDR thing. Beyond the CJ Mosaic I've been filling in some gaps with Japanese reissues. Almost certainly in (to some extent) on this new series, though of course subject to exactly what gets released.

DG touting a reissue of this. 1978 album of standards, maybe nothing special but I'm enjoying it. Unfortunately, too pricey: CD $25.99 / LP $45.99

I (and maybe some other dinosaurs) hope so! Mack Avenue does seem to release CDs. IIRC they took over the MaxJazz label (who released a whole lot of "At Yoshi's" live albums and a number of Jessica Williams CDs back in the day).

Very promising, but the above anthology is digital-only so IMO CDs are far from certain.

Is he a "rumpeter" as the OP stated?

This is really cool but weird. Especially the vocal material based on Edward Lear text. There's lots of other vocals (which I ordinarily don't go for) with text by Yeats, Joyce and Lewis Carroll. I know it's merely a typo, but funny. 🙂 Good but slightly weird.

Although sometimes I think I must be insane for listening to this kind of music (if not already for other reasons).

Hey, it's mostly for the soundtrack. I can't imagine the English dialogue would be too scintillating.

OMG, I clicked on the link and the graphics are something else! There's a (semi-)local cinema which loves to screen this kind of thing. Wonder if the film is available. There's a 13-minute sound sample on youtube: There's something slightly odd about the archer(ess?) in the foreground...🤣

Warning: you can spend a lot of time and/or $...I guess that's why the sobriquet "The Bastards". 😁 Looks like they've recently modified the site a bit...IIRC the CD link used to be something like "CDs $8.99 or less". I remember that. The clip of Pres. Carter singing Salt Peanuts was all over TV. It made the nightly news IIRC.
