  1. wait i thought barney wilen was that mobley disciple who played w/ miles davis- u mean he made a DOPED OUT PSYCH JAZZ LP!!!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? oh hell yeah! in the 70s did he make just this one, or 14 of em
  2. Jazz is not music meant for stereo. this is what i am proposing. Mono is like a real recording. Mono is music as it was meant to be reproduced and heard. Stereo is more gimick-ey// meant for stuff like the strawberry alarm clock and Esquivel. by the way i absouetly adore Esquivel. i dont think u guys have mentioned him here much. have you guys any expierence w/ his music. do you organissmo guys have any repect for esquivel, is i guess what i wanna know. but anyways jazz sounds better in mono, always have, always will. I like hearing MUSIC. not separeted bullshit. In the 50s and 60s, the social seperation of black people in america took signifcant steps to become less and less. In Jazz, significant steps were taken which added INCREASED SEPERATION to jazz sounds comming out of the lp what if RVG stuck to mono beacuse Al Lion wanted him to-- what do u think that would of been like
  3. you know who he kind of reminds me of, Ned Beatty. i love that crazy mf/ if he's on the credits of a movie, you know its gonna be a good movie
  4. when you say 5 lps still avail.- do you mean actually new-old-stock of nessa Lps? i dont know much of anything about aacm and i would much prefer to start with the nessa stuff compared to, say what ive heard on actuel, which i dont know how into it i am. is the earlier stuff w/ nessa different at all? more swinging? etc?
  5. wait what is the story with your Nessa records anyway- is it true it was started as an outlet for Art Ensemble solo-lps? if not what prompted you to start it. and what prompted you to end the label and why, etc>>????

  17. that is an interesting story- so why do u think the producer didnt want the arkestra on the lp? did he prefer players he was more familar with?
