  1. i use it often to look up sessions I've never heard of, hoping to discover track listings, personnel etc. IMO it's now much harder to find specific entries than it used to be.
  2. I've been watching the Tour with greater than usual interest year. Having fallen off my bike last year on the Aubisque with serious consequences that I'm still living with, I take my hat off to the skill of the Tour riders. The day after my fall I managed the Tourmalet, Aspin and Peyresourde despite having lost some power in my left hand. The tortuous descent of the Peyresourde in the mist and rain was nearly the end of me. I hope none of the riders fall off on Wednesday.

    Oliver Lake

There doesn't appear to be a general Oliver Lake thread so upping this one looking for recommendations. I have an enjoy Talkin' Stick, Trio Transition feat Oliver Lake, Expandable Language. He seems to have issued a fair number of releases in the past 2 decades. Any particular recommendations ??
  15. I've noticed that all the electric Miles albums sound great on vinyl , the energy is immense from Bitches Brew, to Dark Magus or Live-Evil

  21. I've limited my Toshibas in recent years to those I simply couldn't source any other legitimate way. The few I have seem ok. Two recent Cannonball Adderley Toshibas struck me as being in very good sound ( Live ! and Accent on Africa) but then I've heard no other editions.
  22. Well shiver me timbers! Just ordered it from the Jazz Record Center-for top dollar, I'm sure, but hey, it's Wes-and saints need to get paid. Well, Rommel did wander the Western Desert shouting "Wes Montgomery!" ROFL !!!, so bad it's good
