It's a Wonderful Organissimo Board

That's the spirit! You'll be like Greg Maltz going down with the ship at the BNBB! Just wondering.....did they ever actually recover a body? I think he may have survived, like Voldemort. -

I didn't. There sure are a lot of these! I'll bet RVG wished this had been invented sooner! His place must have been quite funky. -

I've had a feeling that this was coming for some time. I think Jim's had enough, and I don't blame him one bit. It was a great run, and I appreciate Jim, Joe and Randy for providing us with such a great place to hang. I've learned a lot, I've made some friends that I hope will keep in touch, and I will truly miss this place. I check in here many times during the day, and it's become a bit of a home for me, especially after moving to a new place where I don't have a lot of friends yet. I've tried some of the other jazz boards, but I just can't get interested. Who knows, maybe there will be another jazz board like this one someday. I would like to ask that anyone interested in keeping in touch PM me email addresses, and if another board comes into existence I hope we can gather there. I'd hate to think of all these wonderful people just disappearing into cyberspace. This is not unexpected, but nonetheless very sad news. I'm glad we have a few weeks to wrap up. Let's enjoy the time we have left. Thanks everyone, and all the best to each and every one of you! Edit: I'm sure gonna miss the live chat gang! -

Well, the Ravens had a golden opportunity to win, but came apart at the seams in the last few minutes. Also some poor management from the sidelines. -
Up for a reminder that this is only good through tomorrow. I used mine to pick up season 5 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Yeah! And you could have the Geico caveman guys as the astronauts, and while they're having sex in space, they accidently bump the controls and go back in time and have sex in space with famous dead people, like Columbus or Francis Bavier. And the hilarity ensues*! *Of course, you'd have to find some part for Fred Willard

Dusty Groove is selling it for $86.99, although it seems to be temporalily out of stock at the moment. Dusty Groove -
I agree. It doesn't seem fair to me that Hawaii, which is undefeated (despite their strength of schedule), can't be considered for the National Championship..... while the LSU Tigers, with two losses, could win it all. I don't think Hawaii is probably as good as either OSU or LSU, but it seems like they've earned the right to at least play them to see. Meanwhile, my 7-5 Aggies are playing Penn State in the Alamo Bowl. Gary Darnell (Def. Coordinator) will coach them in the game, and then turn the reins over to Mike Sherman. Right. The lack of strength of Hawaii's schedule keeps them out of the championship mix, which given the current system makes sense, but a playoff system would allow underdog teams like them a chance to play against the larger programs, like in the NCAA tourney. I think an eight-team playoff would be reasonable. I'm not in favor of extending the season any more than is necessary, but this season has exposed the major flaws of the current system. And good luck to the Aggies in their almost-a-home-game bowl!

Allow me to get it started......... Mizzou's loss last night turned out to be pretty costly. No BCS anything for them. That doesn't seem fair. Kansas made out pretty well though. A season like this one, with so many upsets and so many teams peaking late, is a good argument for a playoff system of some sort.

I'm not all that crazy about this current method of icing kickers, even though it's completely legal. I was actually kind of glad to see it backfire for once. Edit: ......although today of all days I wouldn't have wished anything bad for the 'Skins. -

Wow, Joe Gibbs makes a freshman mistake and calls two consecutive timeouts in a attempt to freeze the kicker. The resulting penalty makes the FG attempt much shorter and Buffalo wins. Tough day for the 'Skins all around. -
Congratulations, aloc! Glad to hear you're doing well. This was a tough year with all the changes in my life. I do like my new job a lot, although I'm still adjusting to life in Tallahassee- there are no gigs to be had in town and that's been kind of a drag. Plus, undertaking a complete "start-over" is not something I planned on doing at this stage of my life. All in all, though, I'm very grateful that I landed on my feet and I have faith that everything else will eventually work out. I know many here have faced adversity this year, and I hope there are some positive things to emerge from their experiences.
